We held absolutely still as the human attempted to sneak up on us. And in the meantime, we were fuming over the intrusion. Where the hell was the breach in our security? And where were the guards? Were our guards that lax in their duties or was there something bigger at stake? It might seem as being a bit paranoid, but Dad had drilled the lesson into us, that when regarding the safety of the people you love, you can never be too paranoid. It’s better to cover all the possibilities than to live with regret…
