I hadn't been sitting on the couch for long when my head started to spin. Lowering the wine glass, which I was surprised to find still in my hand, I cradled my head. I’m not the type of person with a high alcohol tolerance, and yet I'm neither the type to get drunk after one or two servings of wine. So, why was my head spinning so badly? I asked myself, trying to shake the dizziness away, but regardless of what I did, it wouldn't leave me.
Suddenly, my body felt warm. I was still wearing my vest, so I decided to take it off. Inhaling sharply, I allowed the icy blast from the air-conditioning unit to ease the warmth inside me, only to be disappointed when it didn’t.
