I woke feeling a lot better my head didn't ache anymore, I took off the blanket that was wrapped around me and stood up. Mason wasn't there anymore. I looked at the time and it was already past midnight. I didn't know I slept for so long and that was all thanks to Mason, I felt really grateful to him.
I walked downstairs and I met my mum laying on the couch she was already passed out on the couch, I sat on the floor and rested my head on her thighs for some reason I just wanted to lay on my mum’s lap and let her braid my hair but she was always busy and I understand she has to, it is not easy on a single parent but we barely ever do things together as a family.
