Chapter 5: finding my mate

I got out of the shower and got dressed. I walked out of my room and downstairs for breakfast. After breakfast I went to the hospital to see if Martin was okay. When I got there Martin was on his feet walking around in the room, “What are you doing up? You’re injured you should be in bed.” I said to Martin. He looked at me and said. “I’m fine, I’m just worried that there will be more rouges attacking.” “Don’t worry everything will be fine, that’s a problem for another day as long as you’re okay.” I said to Martin. “When are you coming home?” I asked him. “I’m not sure, the doctor hasn’t said anything yet.” He said. I nodded and walked out of the room to find the doctor. I walked down the hall and saw the pack doctor, I walked up to her, “Doctor when will Martin be discharged?” I asked. “He can leave today. He just needs to sign the forms.” She said. I walked back to Martin’s room and told him that he could leave today. He signed the forms and we went back to my house. We spend the day inside not doing much. “Are you okay?” Martin asked. “Yes, why?” I asked him. ”Well you were so exited to meet your mate and now you haven’t found her yet and we got attacked in the process.” He said looking at me with sadness in his eyes. Martin hasn’t found his mate yet but he has hope that he’ll find her soon. We spend the day watching movies. Martin went home at 19:00 and I sat up alone wondering what my perfect mate would be like, what perfect she-wolf the moon goddess has chosen to be my luna. I had knew my mate would be strong, passionate, loving, caring and able to stand her ground and she would have a strong wolf, I wouldn’t settle for any less. I went to bed after 00:00. I woke up then next morning knowing there would be stories running around at school not only about the part or me not finding my mate but also about Martin’s injuries. I wasn’t in the mood to go to school at all, I wanted to be alone my wolf was depressed that I didn’t find my mate. My brother entered my room, “Why aren’t you dressed for school?” he asked. “I’m not going today.” I responded. “Why not?” He asked walked over to me. “I’m not in the mood, my wolf is depressed that we haven’t found our mate yet.” I replied. “You have to go to school, it was a long shot to find her at the party and you know it. Remember after school the pack will hold a gathering to see if one of the pack’s she-wolves are your mate.” He said. I knew he was right so I lifted my sorry ass out of bed and got dressed.  Martin picked me up and we went to school.

Lola POV:

I woke up, my hair was a mess and my eyes had circle’s around them. I was up late last night talking to Sara, so I didn’t get much sleep. I forced myself out of bed and got dressed. I walked to school and saw Sara was waiting for me. We walked to our English class, the halls were busy with chatter about the party and apparently Martin was attacked by a wild dog while out for a walk. Blake disappeared half way thought his party along with Martin and they were together when he was attacked. We walked into our English class and everyone was standing in groups discussing the party. The teacher walked in and silenced the class. Just as she was about to start the lecture Blake walked in. “I’m sorry I’m late.” He said and walked over to his seat. He sat down and I felt my whole body tense up as I felt someone looking at me. I turned around to see who it was and Blake was staring at me. I smiled at him but he just lowered his head not saying anything. I turned around and put my attention back on my work. I felt him looking at me throughout the duration of the class.

Blake POV:

Martin and I got to school the halls were empty as the bell had rung a few minutes ago. I went to my first class. I opened the door to the class room and the sent of roses and freshly fallen rain hit me. My wolf jumped up in excitement ‘Mate.’ He said. I looked around the class to see who my mate was. My eyes fell upon a brown-haired girl with green eyes. I apologised to the teacher for being late and sat down. I couldn’t help but stare at the beautiful girl in front of me. She was so beautiful like a rose in bloom. She turned around and smiled at me. I didn’t know what to say so I put my head down and looked at my work. The bell rang and I made my way out of class as quickly as possible seeing as I didn’t know what to say to her. In my next few classes I didn’t pay much attention as she was on my mind all the time. Break time rolled around and I decided to talk to her. I walked over to her, she and Sara were sitting together. Sara is one of the she-wolves from my pack. “Hello girls.” I said as I walked over to the. “Hello Blake, how can we help you?” Sara asked. “I need to talk to you.” I said as I pulled her on her arm away from my mate. Walked until we were outside hearing distance. “Alpha how can I help you?” Sara asked. “From what pack is your friend?” I asked in a serious tone. “She’s not a werewolf Alpha. Why if I may ask?” Sar said looking confused. “She’s not?” I asked her my face losing all color. “No alpha she’s not.” She said. “Why do you look so worried alpha?” “She’s my mate,  you can’t tell anyone my mate is a mear human.” I said to Sara in a low tone. Shock was clearly written all over her face. “What are you planning to do Alpha?” She asked. “Nothing, she’s not werewolf. I will not be mated to a weak human. A human is not worthy of being my luna, and not worthy of leading the pack.” I said. Sara nodded and walked back to Lola. I went and sat next to Martin in the cafeteria. I couldn’t help nut stare at her she really was a sight to behold. After lunch I went back to class and continued through the day.

After school I went home. I went straight up to my room. I didn’t feel like talking to anyone, I sat on my bed. there was a knock on the door. I stood up and walked over to the door, I put my hand on the handle and let out a sigh. I wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone cause everyone would want to know if I had found my mate yet. I opened the door and my brother walked in, “Hey, how was school?” He asked me. “It was fine, what do you want brother?” I asked in an annoyed tone. “What got you all riled up?” He asked. “Nothing, now what do you want?” I asked trying to get to the point. “I wanted to know if you found your mate at school?” He asked. “No I haven’t found her yet.” I say, as I walk over to the door. “Where are you going?” he asked as he followed me. “I’m going for a run if that’s fine with you.” I say as I storm out of the room. I walked to the gym to clear my head when I saw through the window my mate standing inside the ring. This peeked my intrest. I decided to go inside and see what she’s up to. When I got inside, I saw she was talking to Lucas one of the packs trainers. He got in the ring and said, “You’re Lola right.” “Yes, I am.” she said and gave him a small smile. “I’m your trainer, my name is Lucas. Are you ready?” He asked. “Yes just give me a minute to get my stuff in order.” She said, as she took her water bottle out of her bag. “I was thinking we could start off slow with some basics to see what you’re made of.” He said. she nodded and said, “Yeah, okay lets do this.”
