CHAPTER 18

1254 Words
Upon reaching the mansion of the Second Family in Kensington, west of London, Terrence called his cousin Brandon Evans before doing the attack. He may be angry with his uncle and his wife but he never wanted his innocent cousins to be implicated in his plan. “Hi, Brad. Who is inside the Second Family mansion now?” Brandon responded. Terrence could hear the sound of ocean waves in the background. “Oh, hi couz! Hadley is out and I’m in Hawaii. I think it's just mum and dad and the rest of the household. Why?” Terrence smirked. “Brilliant! Nothing. Enjoy the booze. Bye.” As he dropped the phone, he gave a hand signal to his team. As he raised his hand, some of his team infiltrated the mansion to kill the family’s guards discreetly. He hid his gun with a silencer on his jacket and wore his aviator glasses. He entered the mansion casually. The guards let him in because he’s a known relative of the Second Family. “Where’s uncle?” he asked. “Upstairs Sir Terrence,” one of the servants answered. He gave the female servant a nod and walked towards the spiral staircase. Once he reached the second floor, he spoke to his crew outside via their in-ear monitor. “Standby, on my command,” he whispered and walked towards his uncle’s room. He knocked on the door and was greeted by a startled man in his forties wearing a maroon robe. “Terrence. What brings you here, my nephew?” His uncle hugged and tapped his shoulder lightly to greet him. That hug brought a gut-wrenching feeling on Terrence. He wanted to blow his head off right then and there. It was sickening to hug someone like him. Terrence gave him a sly smile. “Well, I just wanted to visit my uncle and my aunt,” he responded as soon as he saw his Aunt Sienna who just came out of their walk-in closet. A woman adorned with sparkling rhinestones and an expensive wardrobe. “Dear, what a pleasant surprise,” her aunt said as she approached him and gave her one cheek air kiss. They were never close but he does visit them whenever he’s free. ‘A kiss from a devil’. That’s how he described his aunt’s way of greeting him. “We haven’t had any long chinwag since your father died. Oh poor Hariett, he’s dearly missed,” her aunt said, which made Terrence’s blood boil. How could they talk about his father easily like this, Terrence thought to himself. At the back of his mind, he was already butchering these two. “What brings you here, lad?” his uncle asked. “Fancy a cuppa?” He asked if he wanted to drink some tea. Consumed with overwhelming thoughts about how these two laughed secretly behind them while they were grieving before made his skin crawl. He wasn’t able to control himself anymore. “Aunt Sienna, I want you to kill your husband.” He was smiling while saying those words but his eyes were filled with anger. “Terrence! Bloody hell! What are you blabbering about?!” His uncle hid his wife behind as Terrence walked towards them with his deep-set eyes piercing their souls. Terrence stopped on his tracks and placed his index and middle finger on his ear to give a quick order. “Cody, intercept signal. Turn off all the cameras here.” “Aye.” Cody responded. “Who were you talking to? What’s the meaning of this Terrence?” His uncle asked while nervously shaking. His wife was about to shout and call for help when Terrence shouted. “No one can hear you now. They’re all dead.” Terrence cracked a maniacal smile followed by a menacing laugh. Terrence took the gun out of his jacket and pointed it in the couple’s direction. “You! Sit over there!” Terrence commanded his uncle while using the tip of his gun to point at the location of the desk. “Did you just yell at me?!” his uncle asked furiously. “You're not gonna’ get away with this Terrence. You’re not the only powerful head in the org!” Instead of answering his question, he took out his phone while still pointing the gun at them and showed them a video of their illegal transactions. Percy laughed. “Are you dragging down the entire organization, prat?” He insulted Terrence by saying he’s stupid. “No. Just the second family. I have other plans for the rest. Now put a sock on it and move your arse!” He stopped playing the video and put his mobile phone back in his jeans. His uncle held his wife’s hand but Terrence coldly uttered, “Let go of her hand or I’ll shoot both of your hands.” His uncle quickly let go of her hand and scurried over his desk. “You, sit there,” he commanded his auntie to sit on the bed facing the desk. She darted towards their bed and sat quietly and stared at his frightened husband. In a couple of strides, Terrence reached the desk. He placed his left hand on top of the desk and leaned forward. “Take a pen and paper and write whatever I’ll say, understood?” His uncle nervously nodded. Terrence began to dictate a supposed suicide note. The cold muzzle of Terrence’s gun touched his uncle’s temple as he wrote everything with a trembling hand. “Now take out your last will and transfer everything under my name,” he added. “Lunatic! You’ll pay for this Terrence I swear!” His uncle protested and spat saliva on his face. Terrence just wiped the saliva off using his finger. “Do it or I’ll shoot your wife.” He just scowled at him and started writing. Once he’s done, Terrence walks towards his terrified aunt. “Now, take this, walk towards him and aim at his head.” He whispered in her ear. She screamed in anger with what he had just told her. “Are you insane?! Why would I kill my husband?!” Terrence smirked before answering her. “Would you rather let your children suffer than kill your rubbish husband?” This is the moment he’d been waiting for. He tried to control the sobs that were wanting to escape out of his mouth. “You, and the rest of the heads killed my father! Now, I will take yours.” He yanked her hand and forcefully placed the gun on it. “Shoot him!” He screamed at his agitated aunt. When she didn’t obey, she quickly held both of her and forced her to pull the trigger on the gun. The bullet went straight on his head and penetrated the glass window behind him killing him instantly. Her aunt screamed in terror as she glanced at her husband’s head drilled by the bullet. Fresh, crimson blood began to drip on his face. His eyes were wide open. The image of his husband’s face would haunt his Aunt Sienna for the rest of her life. Terrence left the room and closed the door behind him. He could still hear the blood-curdling scream as he commanded his men to kill everyone inside the mansion. “Next target, the Third Family,” he uttered to himself as his men rained bullets as he exited the gate and rode on his motorbike.
