It’s been a while since Bridgette set foot in Hounslow. She stepped out of the train and breathed in the fresh scent of morning air along with the aromas of various street foods. Hounslow is a small town in Outer London. Some people find this place dull and boring, but for Bridgette, it is a piece of heaven.
"Hey, wait for me!" said a familiar voice behind her. She almost forgot that she had company. She turned her head and saw Troy walking briskly towards her.
"I’m sorry, Troy. I was just preoccupied with my thoughts. "I forgot about you," she explained. She turned to face the sidewalk and saw food stands of diverse cultures. She smiled as she remembered the first day she arrived in this small town.
She continued talking. "It’s just that… it really feels like home here." Troy saw the dreamy look in her eyes as she talked about how much she really loved this small town. He wanted to ask something, but he chose to just stare at her. She looks like sunshine, shining brightly in the morning. Troy might regret his decision to go with her after seeing the place, but he’ll never regret that he did this for her. He will adjust to this woman.
"Aren’t you going to ask me why I look like this?" Bridgette suddenly asked when they ran out of things to discuss as they started to walk.
"Look like what?" Troy, questioningly asked.
"This? I look weird, right? "
"I didn’t notice."
Bridgette blushed when Troy blocked her way, making her stop walking and lean forward towards her.
"T-Troy. What are you doing? " She was trying to avoid his gaze by looking sideways. People began looking at them.
He heartily laughed as he shifted beside her. "I was just messing with you. Let me carry your bag, it looks heavy, "he remarked.
They walked a few kilometers before reaching a bungalow-type house. It looks simple but very homey. There were flowers decorating the carpeted lawn, and a cute pink door sign was hanging.
"What a sweet-looking house," Troy remarked.
"I like it to have a feminine touch. When I first arrived here, this place looked like a gunk. " Bridgette's face scrunched up as she recalled the scent and image of the once' filthy house.
She fished out the keychain from her bag and saw the friendship bracelet she had attached to it. She smiled a bit and greeted Trina in her mind, then opened the door.
"Come in. S-Sorry if this looks nothing like your grandiose mansion in Mayfair." Bridgette expressed her skepticism.
Troy looked around the house. The interior looks spacious.Upon entering, you'll immediately see some parts of the kitchen and dining area. She also has a small living room with a pink couch and butterfly-designed curtains, and a small spiral staircase leading to the second floor.
"Mansions are overrated. At least I don't need to ring a bell here or use a phone to call someone, "he chirpily uttered after his eyes were done doing a mini-house-tour.
Just then, Bridgette realized what was bound to happen because of Troy's comment. She took a step back and turned her back on Troy, fidgeting her fingers nervously.
"Y-You're not actually thinking about living t-together?" She forced the last word out of her lips. She felt a sudden rush of blood on her cheeks.
Troy placed his hand over her shoulder, which made Bridgette quiver. She slowly turned to face him while her eyes were pinned to the ground.
He used his long, gentle fingers to tilt her chin up. He chuckled a bit upon looking at her blushing face.
"Bridgette, I may be in love with you, but I still respect you. If you don't want me here, I'll stay somewhere else. When I said I wanted to be with you, I only meant I wanted to protect you and see you whenever I wanted to."
Troy's masculine voice lingered in her ears like a sweet melody. Those words crept into her heart and imprinted themselves on her mind. She was about to say something when Troy's soft lips landed on hers. It was a very gentle kiss. It was her first kiss.
He abruptly ended the kiss to look at her reaction.
Bridgette placed her arms around his neck, which means consent on his side. Troy's hands moved, going to her waist. He kissed her again, but it began to feel deeper and more intense. Bridgette felt Troy's tongue going into her mouth. Her mind was clouded with passion and an overwhelming sense of love at the moment that she didn't think twice about opening her mouth wider, allowing his tongue to linger inside hers.
'So this is what kissing feels like.' She thought to herself.
Troy lifted her up and carried her to the kitchen, where he placed her on top of the counter without breaking the kiss. Bridgette was stunned by what he did.
He broke the kiss and began caressing her face while looking straight into her eyes.
"Loving you will always be the best decision I've made in my entire life, Bridgette." He wrapped his arms around her and they shared another passionate kiss.
Troy decided to stay in Hounslow for good. His desire to be a part of the Black Scorpion Organization had vanished because of Bridgette. He called his brother after a few days to tell him about this.
Terrence picked up the phone immediately. "Where are you?" he sternly asked.
"Hey, bro. Not important. I just called to tell you that I’ll be staying here for good. Take care of yourself and Tabitha, " Troy responded in a serious tone.
"What happened? Are you in trouble? Staying where? " Terrence asked one after another. He may be a heartless and cruel mafia boss to others, but he’s a gentle and loving older brother to Tabitha and Troy.
"Uh, let’s just say, I finally found my true home." He chuckled a little as Bridgette came in front of him. The way he looked at her while delivering those words made her blush all over again. She kicked his feet a little bit, feigning annoyance, and mouthed the word "stop".
'Aww, she's so adorable!' He thought to himself as he saw her cute reaction and couldn't help but giggle over the phone.
"Whatever. Take care as well. Call me when there’s a problem. Or rather, don’t cause a problem. Got it? " He made sure to emphasize the word ''don't".
"Bossy as always. Loosen up bro! " Troy jokingly said. "I gotta’ go. Bye!" With that, he ended the call and threw his phone on the couch to playfully grab Bridgette’s waist and tickle her.
With Troy by her side, she felt secure, but she couldn’t help but think about her business in Westminster. She wouldn’t want to depend on Troy forever for a living. While having dinner, she discussed her plans to look for a job the following day.
Terrence sighed after dropping the call. He forgot to tell him about the information he was able to obtain with the help of their uncle Andrew. He realized that Troy seemed too happy right now and Tabitha was too innocent and young. It might also affect how she treats her relatives.
He decided not to tell them about it anymore and just deal with it on his own.
Being the eldest sometimes means taking all the heavy responsibilities alone, much less taking revenge on those people who killed their father.
Cody called him from afar. "Boss T! We're ready! Let’s go!" he yelled.
He’ll be the one driving the RV while Terrence is now getting on his motorbike. He put on his helmet and left the mansion, followed by his crew and some other men behind.
The first target: the head of the Second Family, Percy Evans.
