Chapter 26
Life stayed good. By the end of the school year, Madison was able to walk short distances without assistance and with a cane for longer distances. Her life was pretty much back to normal, and her and Kyle were enjoying every spare moment they had together. He would be heading off to University in the fall, and although he was only going to be an hour away, they both knew their time together would be more limited. It was a beautiful sunny morning at the beginning of July when things took a sudden and unexpected turn. Madison walked into the kitchen that morning and immediately knew something was wrong.
