Masons POV;

I was busy with some paperwork when my beta mind linked me. He told me there would be a rogue at the border.

I jumped up behind my desk and decided to help them. When I was almost at the border I smelled it. That intoxicating scent, the roses. My mind went crazy. My beautiful mate is here. She’s close I need to find her...

I barked at my men, SHES MY MATE GO GET HER. After that the scent began to fade. My wolf Alex was getting very restless and he said; go find mate she’s afraid I can smell it. Let me out I can find her.

I decided to shift and go find her.

Anne’s POV;

I decided to climb in a tree because they won’t see me. My wolf told me to get some mud on me so they won’t smell me.

After I got in the tree I heard a man barking; SHES MY MATE GO GET HER. The voice was very loud and I got scared but Elvira started to get restless and screamed: MATE MATE MATE. I didn’t even know what a mate was. I decided to just ask her. Elvira what’s a mate? A mate is your soulmate Anne, he’s the one the moon goddess made for you. He’s perfect for us and will love and cherish us.

That last part I didn’t believe at all... my father was made to love me as well right? Then why did he do al those things to me..

After a while I heard someone screaming: I don’t think she’s here anymore let’s check the other side of the border!

This was my que.. I had to make a run. After they left I got out of the tree but in the process I fell and sprained my ankle.. this was going to be a hard trip and I didn’t even know where I would end up.
