"Mila?" I unconsciously said while staring at her. I quickly wiped all my tears as I immediately ran towards her. But before I could even reach out to her, she walked away from me.
"Camila!" I shouted her name as I tried to go after her, "Please stop!" I ran fast, and when I reached her hand, I quickly grabbed it as I make her turned around to face me.
"Face me!" I angrily looked at her, "Talk to me!" Her expressions suddenly got soften when she realizes that this was the first time she saw me mad.
"L-Lau," She stepped forward, but it made me step backward.
"Do you think that this is just playtime for you?" I angrily asked her, "What am I to you? Where's my place in your life now?" I asked, and I could feel the pain stabbing my heart right now.
"Lau... I," Mila said while she's staring at my eyes. I waited for her to explain. I was hoping for her to tell me everything, "I'm sorry." But she didn't. Her eyes feel like telling me something, but she won't trust me about it.
"Yeah, that what I thought," I sarcastically whispered as I quickly looked away, "They are waiting for us. Let's go," I coldly said.
I walked away fast as I passed by Jacob, who's waiting for me. He's worried, and I could see that. He immediately walked after me when I didn't bother to talk to him as well.
I am not in the mood to talk to anyone. I am so full of Mila's shits excuses.
Oh, wait, she has even no excuses.
I shook my head as I went inside the bus. I straight walk to the last seat beside the window, away from everyone. A moment later, I notice Jacob and Mila walk inside, and she was about to sit beside me when Jacob grabbed her arm, telling something that made her change her mind.
Jacob sat beside me instead, "Hey, here some water, you look ugly," Jacob said while handing me some water, but I ignored him.
I leaned against the back of my seat as I closed my eyes. I wanted to rest from everything. I don't want to see anyone.
"Miss Lauren! We have a new team member here," Patricia told me while I'm reading some record lists, "Meet Camila, Isn't she pretty?!" I looked at the person that Patricia was referring to, and she was wrong.
'She's beautiful.'
"H-Hi, You can call me Mila if you want."
The girl named Camila gave me a shy smile as she's looking at me with those beautiful and a hint of nervous eyes. I'm not usually attracted to girls, but why am I to her?
"Miss Lauren?" In one snapped, I came back to reality when Patricia called me once again.
"Y-Yes! Hi! I'm Lauren, but you can call me on my nickname as well, Lau," I awkwardly said as I chuckled when I accepted her handshake. Damn, even her hands are pretty and soft! I am so jealous! I shook my head in disbelief. I don't believe how I think about her.
"I'm leaving you two now since she's in your team now, Miss Lauren," Patricia told me, and I nodded as an answer.
Camila passed me some paper about her, and I gladly accepted it as I looked at her information. It was quite an impressive resume, though.
'So, Camila Sawyer, huh?' I like it.
Days had passed by, and all I could do is to observe her actions. Jacob suddenly went beside me. He chuckled before he could say anything.
"What do you think about Camila?" He asked, mocking me, "You are so into her," He chuckled to the fullest, and I hit him.
"f**k you, I'm not even attracted to girls," I said, pissed.
"Keep denying it until you confirm it!" He mocks me again while laughing at me, "By the way, there's no problem on being into 'only her,' Lau, there's a difference between into girls and only her, right?"
"I don't know what you're saying, Jay," I shook my head in disbelief.
"You know it because I know you," Jacob replied, and he's confident by what he's saying. We both looked at Camila, who's smiling at everyone while chit-chatting as they were fixing things on every shelf.
And he's fricking right. My heart beats for this girl.
I suddenly woke up, and when I opened my eyes, I was already leaning on Mila's shoulder. I quickly moved away. I looked on the other side of the seats, and I saw Jacob grinning at us.
He knew right from the start. Jacob was there when he witnessed how I fell for this girl. Jacob's my best friend, and he's been there to support my decisions, even if it's the stupidest ones.
I looked at Mila's sleeping face again as I sighed. I couldn't stay mad at her. I would still love this person even if it hurts me. I would do everything for her to stay in my life.
Things come and go, but if you make that thing stay, it would. You have to do something to keep them.
Whatever it is, that's how it works because people don't stay if you don't give them a reason to hold on.
I gently held her face as I put her head slowly on my shoulder so she could rest comfortably. I watched the moon with the raining stars from the window of our bus.
"It's beautiful," I whispered, "That's how beautiful you are, Camila," I added as I felt myself smiling. When I looked at the moon, I always remember how our first night happened, and it would be my forever favorite night of my life.
"What are things that you like in a person?" Camila asked while playfully walking at the side of the road while I walked casually on the road, "Your ideal, perhaps?"
I chuckled as I looked at her.
'You.'
