Chapter 3

"Y-You wouldn't want that, Mila," I said, uttering.  "Why not?" She asked seriously, still looking intently at my eyes, "You're my friend, and I'm curious to kiss a girl," She added, which made me stopped for a moment.  I avoided her gaze as I sat down properly, "Kiss someone if that's your only intention," I replied. I don't like being toying by someone, especially the person that I like the most. It would be hard for me to hate her. As if I would let that happen.   Because of what I've heard, I am out of the mood to watch movies today. Instead, I took a shower and went to Mila's bed because my back hurts from sleeping on the chair last night.  When the Afternoon came, I felt someone hugging me from the back, and I know that it was Mila. I pretended to be asleep still because I don't want to ruin our moment. "I'm sorry, Lau... I shouldn't say those words that I've never meant," She whispered as I felt her kissing at the back of my head.  I sighed as I suddenly turned around to face her. Her eyes widened in a bit of shock, but she quickly recovered from it. I hugged her too as I looked at her more so I could see her pretty face. "Forgiven," I replied as I giggled. Mila shook her head in disbelief as she hugged me back.  "Oh, Lau, you are full of surprises," She said while shaking her head a bit.  "Well, you said you like people surprising you, right?" My brows moved ups and downs as I'm mocking her.  "Whatever," She even rolled her eyes at me, which made me laughed. She looks so adorable whenever she does that. "Anyways, how's your date yesterday?" I asked out of the blue moon. I wanted to know so I could see if I should stop or not.  Mila looked at me first, like a minute before she finally decided to tell me about it. She even sighed before saying a word to me.  I just realize that I might be too meddling with her life. Should I stop asking about her personal life?  "Well, he's nice, and I think that both of you have the same vibes. You'll surely like him." She smiled while mine pretended that it was a real smile.  "I'm happy to hear that, are you guys already dating?" I asked again, trying to hurt myself all over again.  "Hmm... not for now, because I'm still focusing on my Lau," She chuckled as she began to tickle randomly part of my body! "Camila! Stop!" I shouted as I tried to move her hands away from me! "Hahaha! Stop! Please!" I said, begging for my life.  "Why would I? Hahaha!" Mila replied as she tickles me more, "And stop calling me on my full name, Lauren Watterson!" She added laughingly.  "Ah! Tickle me all you want, but don't call me like that!" I glared at her, but I couldn't stop laughing because she's still tickling me! "Aye, aye, Captain!" She bites her lower lip as she looks intently into my eyes while tickling me.  I used all my strength to captivate both of her wrists as I pinned her down. In one snap, I'm now sitting at the top of her tummy as I'm pinning her wrists, leveling her head.  "Now, you finally stop," I said, panting from all the tickles she did.  We were both panting while looking intently at each other's eyes, "Would you let me go now?" She asked as if she's nervous that I might do something to her in return for what she did.  "Why would I?" I said, and I couldn't help but grin at her. She's so adorable to look at, and I couldn't question why I am in love with her. Why can't I?  "You know that I would love you at your worst, right?" I told her. She suddenly smiles and suddenly kissed me.  "I know," She replied as she caressed my cheek.  "Hey! Wake up, sleepyhead! I cooked dinner for us," I opened my eyes as I saw Mila in front of my face, making a puppy face.  I sighed when I realized that it was all a dream. Why would Mila kiss me, right? It's too far away from reality. She won't ever see me in the spotlight of her attention.  "You did?" I asked, not convincing me that she did. She doesn't know how to cook, that's why I'm here.  "Yes! But someone helped me, though," She replied, giggling.  My forehead creased in confusion. Who will that be?  She suddenly held my hand as she pulls me away from the bed as we walked to the dining. I saw a tall man with looks, the one who's preparing for our dinner food.  Mila suddenly let go of my hand as she quickly went to the guy and immediately cling to his arms.  "Lau, this is Warren, the guy I dated yesterday," She widely smiled as she makes her eyes big for me to answer quickly. "Oh, hi, I'm Lauren," I said, trying to be good to the man who will soon take my girl away from me.  "Why don't we eat now?" Mila suddenly said.  I sat across them as I silently eat the food that the guy prepared for us. I'll lie if I say that it wasn't that good. I don't know how I would feel because if she likes this guy, she won't be needing me.  On the other side, I should be happy for her. I need to accept the fact that she won't ever see me more than a friend. I was about to give her the bowl of rice when the guy suddenly did it. I mean, Warren.  I watched them. I watched Mila being happy with someone that I am not. I wish I'm that person she looks at, the person she adores the most, and I don't ever think that it would still happen, even in the future.
