“I don’t know what sort of game you’re playing,” A woman with long brown hair entered the throne room of the palace. She was dressed in a forest green dress, her silvery blue eyes were trained on the man sitting on the throne, “But you can quit playing this game right now.” She snapped. She came to a stop at the bottom of the steps. “I know what you’ve done to my son and his family.” Her voice was laced with malice. “And I have father ready to strike you down.” Her voice was cold, which matched the look in her eyes. The king smirked. “What ever do you mean, mother?” She set her jaw. “You may have fooled Selene and Helios, but you do not have me fooled, Ares. You killed Rian, Orion and I already know. And I am ready to imprison you in Tartarus for that. Hades has already agreed with my choice. Now it’s merely our father who must agree.” The man cleared his throat and waved a hand lazily. His appearance shifted, revealing that the warm faced king was a dark eyed, dark haired man. He looked bored. He shrugged his shoulders casually. “Your son is a means to my end. And my end is ending Caysen before he can even try to end me, Artemis.” The goddess stiffened. Her eyes narrowed. She pulled her bow off her back, dropped an arrow on it and promptly launched it. The only reason it hadn’t imbedded into Ares’ forehead was because the god of war had caught it mid-air. “You are lucky I have left your grandson and granddaughter alive.” He snarled. Artemis set her jaw. “ENOUGH ARES.” She screamed, “YOUR WAR IS WITH ALASTOR. NOT WITH MY FAMILY. NOT WITH MY PEOPLE. NOT WITH CAYSEN OR ARIANTHE!” Artemis tilted her head some. “And if anyone should bear a cross against Alastor, it would be Hephaestus. Not you. You are not her husband. You are a coward, filth beneath our feet.” Ares snarled. He got up and whipped the arrow back towards Artemis. Before it could make contact, a blonde haired female with stone grey eyes had appeared. She caught the arrow and handed it to Artemis, then turned her head back to Ares. “You should have taken her warning.” The blonde stated. Ares rolled his eyes. “And what do I owe this pleasure, Athena?” He snarled. Athena smiled. “You have been called on by Zeus. Helios, Selene, Aphrodite and Alastor are awaiting your arrival. I do suggest you make haste.” Ares growled. He threw his hands up in the air and vanished in an instant, leaving the two goddesses in the throne room alone. “What will you do?” Athena turned to Artemis. “Your bloodline is… almost dead. Kaloni is the only one left.” Artemis’s eyes dropped to the floor. She let out a slow and steady breath. “Then Kaloni and Walker shall be given the crown.” She stared to the side. “So you knew he has poisoned Noah, and turned him into…” Athena nodded. “And there isn’t any saving him.” Artemis sighed heavily. “I know.” She murmured softly. Athena laced her fingers together. She smiled and turned. “Caysen.” Artemis turned at the same time; they looked at their nephew, who looked torn up and hurting inside. “Did you… make her have a new mate?” He asked hoarsely, eyes on Artemis. She shook her head. “She doesn’t have another mate.” She watched him curiously. “I believe Ares had his son… Himeros work some magic.” She sighed heavily. “But once she realizes that Noah is not her mate… she should be able to see you for what you are.” Athena crossed her arms, she looked on Caysen fondly. “And you know, all of us are on your side, Caysen. We all believe in you, and if we have to bring Ares down, we will.” She murmured. It was no secret Caysen was one of the favorites in the family. Which had only aggravated Ares further. “You will have to kill Noah.” Artemis said quietly. “If you hope to reunite with Eos as Arianthe.” Caysen set his jaw. He thought about it for a moment before looking up at the two women. He walked towards Artemis and stopped. “Will one of you argue for me?” He asked quietly, “I don’t want to be this… thing Ares has cursed me to be.” He winced a little. “I can’t live off blood.” Athena smiled. She reached out and placed her hand on his cheek. “Caysen, you are still pure. And to that… I will plead your case.” Artemis looked up. She stepped up and she nodded. “I will plead your case as well.” Artemis paused some. She was looking past Caysen at the doorway. She c****d her head to the side. “You may enter, Kaloni.” Artemis called, smiling upon her granddaughter. As the young curly haired blonde werewolf entered the throne room, looking timid. Her eyes were on Caysen mainly. Caysen tensed up. He turned slightly to look at her. He squinted a moment, his brows furrowing. “What is-” “Aphrodite.” Athena snapped her fingers, and Aphrodite appeared. She looked at her sisters, a brow arched, then she looked to her son and smiled fondly. The smile only began to widen when she looked past Caysen. “Oh my Kaloni!” Aphrodite moved hurriedly over to the girl and pulled her into her arms tightly. She kissed the young wolf’s forehead, then looked around at everyone. It was this point when Caysen pointed at Athena, “You’re the goddess of wisdom… and yet you lied to Ares?” Athena smiled. “Wisdom and truth do not have to go hand in hand. I am the goddess of war first and foremost, thought out war, strategic war.” She tutted lightly. She smiled back at Aphrodite who was hugging the young blonde tightly. “Uhm…” Kaloni said from being squished against Aphrodite’s voluptuous breasts.  “Allow me.” Artemis held her hand up. “Kaloni, this is your mother. Who couldn’t keep her hands off my son.” Artemis sneered at Aphrodite. “And Kaloni, this is you half brother, Caysen. He is Arianthe - Drew’s true mate.” Kaloni’s eyes widened. She backed up and looked at Aphrodite, then to Artemis, then to Caysen, then back to Athena now, her eyes becoming saucers. “I don’t understand - is Noah…” “No. Noah is your half brother, his mother was killed before you were born. Aphrodite played human for a year before having to, ehem, return to Olympus.” Artemis was glaring at Aphrodite again. Kaloni’s eyes widened further. She covered her mouth with her hands and squeaked.  Caysen raised a hand. “And why doesn’t Ares want to kill Kaloni?” “Because I’m one pissed off grandma.” Artemis replied. Athena and Aphrodite were only nodding their heads vigorously. No one liked to piss Artemis off. Caysen then sighed. He walked over to Kaloni and took her hand with his, brought it to his mouth and gave it a kiss. “I’m glad to meet my little sister.” He murmured. Kaloni’s face immediately lit up. “I will help you! I will! Drew trusts me, she and I are… sort of close. I can… I can help.” She looked between everyone, anxious. Caysen started to smile. “I never thought I’d enjoy having a little sister.” He pulled Kaloni into a hug, and Kaloni squealed.
