We get to the Cafeteria and jump out I grab Kat and Uri leads us inside.

" There is food ready, I'm going to go change handsome"

I grab her hand and pull her into the kiss

" Hurry back beautiful"

She walks off, I get Kat out of her car seat and go grab some food. They have baby food on a shelf so I grab some for my daughter.

I walk back to my table and sit down eating waiting for Urianna to come back. I hear a shriek and turn around standing to the sound. Arms are wrapped around me as I am enveloped in a huge gut wrenching kiss. I pull her off of me not returning the kiss.

" Vannah what the f*CK"

" I have been waiting for you to get here baby, I am so happy your home."

" Vannah I'm not your baby I...." She cuts me off kissing me again I push her off.

Uri clears her throat

" Um do you know each other?"

Vannah: " This is my boyfriend"

She raises her eyebrows

"Boyfriend?"

" No.. No I am not her boyfriend we had a thing but..."

Uri cuts me off

" Don't care figure it out yourselves I'm not getting involved" She turns around chunking up the duce

I turn to Vannah glaring at her

" Dude what the F*CK"

She smiles

" I missed you"

" No, no Vannah we had a thing when we served together that's it that doesn't mean you can claim me in a freaking apocalypse. We broke up, I got married had a kid I'm involved with someone"

She scoffs

" Who, Uri?"

" Please she is a child you need a real woman" She slides her hand up my chest and I push her off

" Stop, just go away"

I turn around and sit down feeding my daughter Uri stands up In Front of everyone I can tell she has been crying. Sh*t I know that's my fault, She makes a speech telling us how everything works. At the end her eyes connect with mine and I feel her pain that has just been caused damnit why did I have to be a man w***e before all this.

I grab Kat and we go through the motions,Uri is sitting at the housing desk. She hands me my key and address

" No loud music, I don't want to hear your s*x sounds with her and I might be your neighbor but I don't want to be friendly."

" Uri please I..."

" Don't Nathan just go please"

I walk off a little crushed and defeated and just head to my new apartment I start supply runs tomorrow I am on Uri's team. Giving me a glimmer of hope to talk about this mess. Kat will be going to daycare the 4 days a week I am gone.

I let Kat play on the floor while I get settled, someone knocks on the door.

" I um bought this stuff for you two before you got here"

She has a load of toys and a highchair for Kat clothes for me some whiskey and stuff for whiskey sours.

I sigh

" Uri can we please talk?"

" Nah I'm good go talk to Savannah"

She walks off and goes next door, stupid freaking ex damnit. I grab the stuff and head back in setting up the new toys for Kat. She lays there playing on the floor mat.

I spend the day getting settled and spending time with my daughter.

URIANNA

How stupid can I freaking be? Fall for a guy over a walkie because he was nice to me? Urianna your an id*ot. I took his stuff to him, I really wanted to kiss him and ask him just to choose me.

I am not that low, I do not beg for people and I am not getting involved in some f*cked up love triangle. I spend the day with Frankie and we just eat at home. Then go to bed, getting ready for the next day. I drink myself into a stupper and pass out.

I wake up the next morning heading to the cafeteria before I take Frankie to school. I pass Nate on the way but don't say a word and try to ignore him completely.

As we get our food I sit down and look over noticing Savannah and Nate arguing. I walk over and pick up Kat

" Hey pretty girl, come on you don't need to hear their fight"

Nate: " What are you doing?"

" You two have your lovers quarrel Kat is coming with me"

"It's not a lovers quarrel Uri I..."

" Bye Nate"

I walk off and set Kat in the highchair next to my table. Grabbing some of Frankie's cheerios that he hasn't put milk on yet.

" Mommy those are mine"

" You can share bubba"

he pouts

" Fine only cuz she is cute"

" Sounds good bubba eat your food"

Nate: " What are you doing she can't eat that!"

" Why not? She likes them"

" Uri the sugar"

" Um they are plain cheerios my son has diabetes as well remember? Besides that baby food you fed her last night is worse for her than this is."

" Can we please just talk?"

" No Nathan I don't want to talk to you about anything unless it involves Kat or this community"

" So if it involves Kat's daddy being happy?"

" Your safe your people are taken care of and you have a beautiful daughter you should be very happy"

" I would be happier if I had you Uri"

" Not happening, you have Savannah, now shoo fly I am spending time with Kat and Frankie"

He sighs getting up and walking off He doesn't know it but I am really happy he is finally here. Even if I have to distance myself because I am a fool I am glad they are safe.
