I groan as the alarm goes off

" Baby, Sophie"

He reaches over rubbing Sophie's back she grumbles.

" Princess turn the alarm off"

Sophie moves turning off our alarm and I turn over cuddling her as she lays back down. This is pretty much how we wake up in the mornings. Not that I'm complaining I love our morning routine, I usually sleep in on Saturday but I have to meet with Isabel's people.

" What are we doing today?"

" Off day after we take care of Isabel"

We cuddle for 10 more minutes then get up, I get dressed and then Sophie and I go pick out her clothes. I make her wear Jeans and grab a jacket for her.

I turn around and lean down to her

Chase clears his throat

I stand up and grab Straten's car seat from him. We load up and make our way to the community kitchen. Sophie and I go get breakfast and Isabel comes to sit at the table.

" So what's the plan boss?"

" I think we have enough houses for your people and with your added men I can start more supply teams."

" What about my daughter?"

" I already told my medical team, they are prepared and have insulin ready for her"

" Thank you, from what I have seen your father would have been proud."

I smile and finish eating I make my speech and get them all settled then Chase and I head out.

He rolls his eyes at me we get to the roller rink and I help Sophie put on her skates. I put the babies in the stroller and help Sophie out to the rink. Chase keeps loosing his balance making me laugh as he falls.

He flips me off and I giggle Carly swoops in grabbing the stroller

"I got the kids you go help humpty dumpty"

I skate over grabbing his arm and spinning Infront grabbing his other one.

I giggle pulling myself to his chest

He chuckles and I kiss him again, I help him get his composure then we skate with the kids. We take a break and they start playing Chase's song. He grabs my hand and leads me to the rink spinning me around as we skate and dance to the song. I smile pulling into his chest.

I lay my head on his shoulder

We head to the fountains and then go to Just for Sh*ts to get Sophie some new toys.

"Maddi, Attack West wall"

Stupid Canni's all I wanted was one day with my family I look at Chase and he nods. We load the kids back up dropping them at the daycare. Speeding toward the West

Chase looks at me as panic hits my face

I grab the walkie

" All non Essentials inside now use the door blocks NOW"

I put the walkie down

He grabs the wheel and I move to the back grabbing my big guns. I open the roof and push it off the Hummer.

Chase pulls up as I start shooting, I clear out my bullet supply for one and grab the other. We keep moving as I shoot. Chase stops the Hummer as we get down to the last I look Infront of us and there are at least 20 blocking our way. We smile at each other pulling up our masks and I slide over the windshield with my axes as he gets out.

I duck and he shoots one behind me.

I kill the last one and we turn walking to each other. He picks me up sitting me on the hood. He pulls me into a kiss and I pull him closer.

" Maddi are you sure we aren't done expanding"

" We will expand north get rid of those things Danny set the charges"

" Charges?"

" I set them up about a month ago on all sides in case of emergency. We need to get everyone away from the west wall"

" Baby will it blow the wall?"

" No but it will have backlash"

I grab the walkie

" Everyone off the wall head to town center"

I get off the hood and grab Chase's hand leading him to the wall control center.

" Get the electric fence going for me, I will put up the barricade"

He nods and I grab the controls sliding the barricades in place and he starts the fence Danny comes running in.

" Is everyone clear?"

Yeah everyone is fine ready to..."

" Carly what's wrong?"

"Sophie she snuck out I think she was heading your way"

I look at Chase as we both start panicking,

" Find my little girl NOW"

Everyone starts checking in saying they are helping, I leave the control room running in the direction of the day care.

" SOPHIE"

We search for an hour and I can't find her.

" Maddi we need to set the charges"

" Not without finding Sophie"

" Maddi they are going to over run the electric fence"

" So bolt the fence I am not setting those charges until we find Sophie"

Chase comes on the walkie

" Baby set the charges, we will find Sophie I promise"

I lean against the building sliding down

"Set the charges Danny"

I throw the walkie down crying

Where the hell is my little girl?

" Maddi I got her, she went home"

I sigh in relief as Kyle walkies the news

Chase: " Stay with her Kyle we are on the way, baby where are you?"

" Sector 2 on Freona"

I sit against the wall until he pulls up he jumps out of the Hummer and sits beside me.

" She is okay Maddi"

" What would have happened if she was near that wall Chase?"

He leans to me I hear the charges blow

" Our little girl is smart Maddi and she is going to be a warrior just like you"

I crawl on his lap

"Let's hope we live that long I just blew like 2 years of supplies"

" We will survive baby together as a family"

" Let's go get our girl"

I nod against him and we get up heading to the house Carly is waiting outside with the twins.

" How did this happen Carly?"

" The door sensors went out Maddi I'm so sorry we were getting snacks for the kids"

I sigh

" We need more people at the daycare and someone get that damn sensor fixed"

She nods and I walk inside I go to my room and change then we sit on the couch next to Sophie.

Chase: " Princess what where you thinking?"

" Your bed is safest place I sorry"

I pull her to my lap scooting next to Chase

" Baby girl our bed is safe when uncle Chase and I are home but you are always safe where we leave you, we will never let you be in danger Princess."

Chase leans to us wrapping his arms around us

" You have to be a big girl and protect Straten and Abi they need you"

She nods

" Okay I sorry, I was scared"

I lean my head back

" Sophie I have an idea"

They both look at me and I smile

I load the kids up in the Hummer and head to the one place I have avoided. We walk in the old mall and I take us to the old pet store.

Sophie screeches

" Can I have one"

Chase sighs

" A dog you get a dog nothing else"

I giggle and he rolls his eyes moving behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.

" You sure about this baby?"

I nod

" She needs a friend one that will help keep her safe"

He laughs

" If she gets a Chihuahua I am kicking your butt"

I smile turning to him

" I will gladly accept that"

He leans down kissing me and Henry comes over with Sophie She has a small puppy on a leash. Henry smiles

" She said you told her any dog she wanted"

Chase laughs

" At least it isn't a Chihuahua"

Me: " Henry will you get me some food for the puppy and any of the accessories Sophie wants"

He nods

" Got it"

I walk over grabbing a small kitten

" No Maddison not happening"

I make a pouty face turning to him

He rolls his eyes

I grab the kitten and set it on Straten's lap Chase watches the babies play with it while I gather the stuff for it. We get our new pets and then head home.

" Dinner is soon"

I sigh

" I'll cook we will just stay in tonight"

I get up and wrap my arms around him and lay my head on his shoulder.

When we get the kids to bed we take a shower and lay in bed.
