Nova's POV:
When Anna gave me control, it felt amazing, but I didn't have time to enjoy it. I took off like a bat out of hell, making the least bet of noise possible. Heading through the trees, heading south. I could hear Anna. She was amazed how fast I was going and taking in all of our surroundings. Going through the woods, I could hear wolves in the distance, so I slowed down to make sure they didn't hear us. Once I knew we had made it past the patrol, I booked it. I could feel we were close to the border. Stopping wasn't an option right now, so I just kept running. I told Anna to rest while I ran for a while. I had no plans of stopping any time soon. I would probably run until morning, putting as much distance as I could.
While running, I had time to think about our life so far and how much I have kept from Anna. I just couldn't tell her everything while we were still in that pack. That pack is just awful. The Alpha only cares about himself, not the pack like a real Alpha would.
I was sent to Anna so early because my mom, the Moon Goddess, felt if Anna stayed alone she would become depressed and end her life. We have powers that we will be able to learn when we turn 18. I can also block my sense no one is able to smell me. Once we get to a safe place, I will tell Anna everything.
I came to a complete stop when I smelled rogues. They are nasty wolves that have lost their human side. Anna comes to the front of our mind to see and hear what I do. I could sense three rouges. Inching closer, keeping close to the bushes, so I knew no one could see me. Looking through the bushes, I would see two male wolves trying to attack a small wolf.
Anna: We have to help, we can't just walk away.
Nova: I know we have to be fast.
I moved round the bushes for a better advantage. Once I was behind the two males, I waited, making sure they were focused before I ponced. I jumped on the left wolf, clamping my jaws on his shoulder, slinging him into a tree. Then I turned to the other male. He looked shocked for a minute before he charged at me. I dodged left, grabbing his hind leg, biting down hard on it, letting his leg go. I turned fat to make sure they couldn't sneak up on me. Both were trying to get back up, but I couldn't let that happen. I bit down on the closest wolf's neck, killing him, then I went after his friend, ending his life. After making sure both of the males were dead, I turned back to the little wolf. The wolf whimpered and tried to scoot away from me. I told Anna it would be better to shift back so she could talk to the little one, and she agreed. Walking over to where I dropped our bag, we shifted back.
