Waking up, I knew today was the day I would get the hell out of this place. There is no way I could stay can there is nothing here for me anyway. If I stayed I would be miserable the rest of my life. Laying in bed looking around my room, trying to remember the good times, but I couldn't. My room has no pictures, just a bed, a desk, a bookshelf, and a closet. I don't think any teenage girls' room looked like this. No TV, posters, hell I don't even have a cell phone to call anyone like I have anyone. My closet and clothes are plan nothing special. Nova is the only thing that I have. Getting up, I take a shower, so I go eat breakfast. I fill my plate up by eating as much as I can, knowing it will be a while before I have a proper meal again. I snuck into my parents' room looking for money and anything else I could use. I know they are not home, but I still feel wrong going through their things. In my mom's desk I found a stack of money and a hairbow. At my dad's desk I found 2 knives. After taking the stuff, I headed to my room and got my bag, adding everything to it. Me: Nova, do you think we should leave now or wait until night? Nova: It would be better to leave at night. There are fewer chances of anyone seeing us and we will blend in. Me: I agree, we run to the trees behind the house, then shift. We should head east, staying in the trees as far as we can go. Nova: Sounds good to me. Putting as much distance as we can from here. Do you have a map in your bag? Me: Yes, let's sleep. We are going to need it. After we wake up, eat, then head out. Getting to sleep was hard thinking of things going wrong, but I don't have a choice about it needs to be done. Sleeping and eating I am done now, just wait, looking out my window, making sure I don't see anyone before I take off. Out the backdoor facing the forest, I listen and smell to make sure no one is around before taking off, trying to be as quiet as possible. Once in the trees, I stop behind a tree to strip and shift to Nova. This is the first time Nova has got to shift outside. I know she is so happy now. Giving Nova full control, she picks up my bag in her mouth before taking off like a bat out of hell.
