The Forgotten Mansion

Chapter Three Part One

Joshua chose to have the venom injected like a flu shot but he chose for it to be injected straight into his heart. As he felt that it would make for a faster change. Even though it was a faster change, it was more painful than how the others chose to become a vampire. With Joshua being turned at the age have 23 that makes him one month away from being 300 years old.

Dana was next and she chose to drink blood from her mother and fall peacefully into death by using a potion made by the alchemist to kill her in her sleep. While this is the most peaceful way to be turned into a vampire, the time of waking up is always on average. Some people have woken up as a vampire as soon as one hour after death, but some have woken up three or more days after being dead. With Dana being two years younger than Joshua and having to wait to be 23 to become a vampire she is now 296 years old.

Sebastian was the third eldest and he chose to have his father inject venom in his arm, because he seen just how much pain that Joshua was in with the injection to the heart. Malachi told both of them that a heart injection would be faster but that it would hurt more than an injection anywhere else. And since Sebastian was four years younger than Joshua and two years younger than Dana he still had to wait until he turned 23 to become a vampire. They all decided this age and so after being turned at 23, he is now 292 years old.

Brooke became a vampire at the same time as Sebastian and even chose the same way. Only she had her mother’s venom injected into her arm to become a vampire. She and Sebastian had always done everything together, so she wanted to become a vampire together and in the same way. She is now 292 years old after being at turned 23, just like Sebastian and her older siblings.

Judith was the youngest, but she still had to wait to become a vampire until she was 23 years old. She chose to drink the blood of her mother and said she wanted to pass away peacefully so once she drank her mother’s vampiric blood, she went to her room to “wait” for the potion to be made. But really, she wanted to be more daring than the rest of her family so with her mother’s blood in her system, Judith went to her bedroom window, climbed onto the ledge, smiled feeling free, and then let herself fall out of her window backwards. With her room on the fifth floor of their mansion/castle she died upon impact.

Malachi was the first to reach Judith’s body. Seeing as he was born a vampire and had stopped aging at 40, he was 500 plus years old when Judith turned into a vampire. He was the first one to reach her body because he was older and the fastest of the other six vampires. Malachi had always favored Judith so when she chose this option of killing herself, he was scared that she wouldn’t come back. She had broken several bones in her body including her neck and spine but luckily none of the broken bones penetrated her heart. So, that meant she had a chance to come back to life as a vampire.

Thankfully she did, and Malachi was so relieved but also angry that she chose to go out in the way that she did. It took her four days to come back as a vampire but Malachi never left her side as he waited for a sign if her wellbeing. Though once she had time to readjust to life Malachi instantly questioned her to see what her mind set was on the day of her death.

“I’m fine, Malachi. Really, I just wanted to feel completely free. And I did, now I'm happy and can live life the way I see fit.” Judith said smiling.

Knowing how Judith felt trapped in her human body made Malachi sad but he loved the fact that being a vampire makes her finally feel free and happy.

When vampires are born (not turned) it is not guaranteed that they will stop aging and become immortal. Nor is the age at which they will stop aging guaranteed if they do become immortal. King Solomon and Queen Cecila had five more children after becoming vampires. Two of them didn’t become immortal and stopped aging, but they were okay with staying mortal. Because they didn’t want to drink blood to survive and hurt humans.

The three that did become immortal all stopped aging at different ages, there were two boys and one girl that became immortal. The two children that didn’t become immortal were one boy and one girl. Mateo was born after Solomon had been a vampire for one year and he was the first of the other five children to survive and become immortal. He stopped aging at 38 years old, making him 248 years old now.

Emilia was born five years after Mateo, and she was the first to not become immortal and she passed away at the age of 137. She chose not to be turned into a vampire once they realized she wasn’t going to stop aging. Jericho was born three years after Emilia, and he stopped aging at the age of 63. Making Jericho 178 years old now, and even though he was sad about his sister passing he was happy that he stopped aging.

Hope was born next, and she was born eight years after Jericho and she stopped aging at 22 years old. Thus, making her 148 years old. She was technically the youngest due to the fact that she stopped aging at 22 years old. Alejandro was the last child born to King Solomon and Queen Cecila. He was born five years after Hope. But he didn’t stop aging and he was okay with that just as Emilia was okay with not becoming immortal.

Cecila and Solomon were so devastated by the loss of two of their children that they decided not to have any more children. While Solomon and Cecila didn’t have any more kids, that didn’t stop their children from having any. The first of King Solomon and Queen Cecila’s children to have a child was Brooke.
