She had to tap me a couple of times before I was able to snap out of my thoughts and reckon back to reality. She looked at me with a perplexed and worried expression on her face.
“Are you okay? You've been staring into space for quite some time,” she reckoned.
It made me feel extremely guilty since today was supposed to be for the both of us. I took my hands in hers and apologized to her. She forgave me and throughout we were at peace, she tried striking a conversation with me but I just couldn't help it.
“Wayne,” she called me again. “Are you even here? I brought you out here to relax but it seems like your mind is somewhere else. Why agree if you had no interest in spending time with me?”
