Elliot was glad for the k****e app on his phone. At least it gave him something to focus on. He’d purchased the book on genetically modified produce last month and was only now finding time to read it.
In between chapters, he texted Tiff a few times just to get his mind off everything. She offered a place at her home for Ruby to sleep, even though Tiff, her husband, and their baby were living in an apartment the size of Elliot’s studio.
