Chen Feng looked at Li Luxian. Then she remembered that the guy was the heir of Li conglomerates. Under him worked for countless large renown firms and companies. His family had their hold in every branch of business. So a sum of that much was like a dinner for him.
Even though that amount of money was nothing for Li Luxian, it still didn’t change the fact that Chen Feng had never seen anything such expensive in her entire life let alone possess it.

"Nothing is more precious than my wife", Li Luxian didn’t leave a chance to flirt with her and said in his typical mischievous tone that was only reserved for Chen Feng. Because he was never addressed to others with such clemency.

Chen Feng quietened, a little bashful. Li Luxian always had to be so flirty.

"No buts wife.", Li Luxian pulled her to him and grabbed her chin slowly grazing his thumb over her cheek.

Was he really because he liked her? Chen Feng’s heart fluttered and she quickly shrugged off the idea before getting her hopes high.
That was absurd. They had only known each other for a week. And that man was in no lack of beauties. How could he possibly like her? He must have been doing it all to convince his father.
"Mr. Li. I’ve registered for the marriage hall. The whole area is emptied by our men so we won’t find media troubling us", Zhang Xin said in a gruff tone.
Chen Feng didn’t know why but since the morning, Zhang Xin sounded a bit resentful. She could even feel him glancing at her from time to time; something like envoy and resentment in his eyes?. She couldn’t guess what was wrong with him. What did she do to offend him? She never ever talked to him unless necessary.

Getting done with marriage, they headed out. Chen Feng had a red certificate in her hands.
"Now that we are married. Can I call you wife all the time?", Li Luxian said getting in the car in the back seat with his wife.

"To my parent’s residence", Li Luxian replied calmly.

She stared at him wide-eyed. She had just married their son behind their back so she was sure they would not welcome her with open arms!
"Some people need to know that I got a wife", Li Luxian said as his eyes glinted darkly and his lips curled up into a cold smirk.
Tonight, at the dinner at his parents, there was going to be a lot of drama.

In a luxurious dining room adorned with countless valuables and numerous antiques, were seated two middle-aged men. The table held various sumptuous mouth-watering dishes prepared by the best chefs in the world. A serious atmosphere enveloped the room.
"I hope whatever comes of the decision of the engagement between our children, it will not affect the good relationship between our families", Guang Li purposed slyly after they finished the dinner.
Li Guang had sent away his wife because she was a little too reckless and the matter needed to be addressed with great caution. He didn’t want his wife to say something rash that would offend Wang Zhihao.
No matter what, the Wang family did hold power and they were one of their best allies. They were also greatly favored by his father, Li Fu Tong. So Li Guang, conscious of their importance and influence, didn’t want to make an enemy out of the Wang family.
"Whether the relationship between both families stays the same as before depends on how Mr. Li attends to this matter", Wang Zhihao said retaining ambiguity in his statement.
Li Guang sighed. It was clear as crystal now. If he was to annul the engagement, the Wang family would sure turn into their foes. They would suffer a lot of business losses that way. But Li Guang still tried to end it without leaving any hard feelings.
"Mr. Wang, we can’t force children in the matter of hearts. If we do that and force them to marry against their will, it will only result in the suffering of our children", Li Guang tried to reason.
Wang Zhihao fell silent. He had realized that by now that Li Guang intended to end this engagement. But he was not here to silently listen to him annulling the engagement. He was here to save this engagement at every cost!
His little daughter, Wang Huailing, adored Li Luxian since she was a child. She wanted to marry him. Wang Zhihao had fulfilled her every wish she was young. So how could he let Li Guang annul the marriage?
There was another reason that Wang Zhihao wanted to save this engagement. If Wang Huailing married Li Luxian, it would bring Wang family business a lot of profit. Even using Li Luxian name as his son in law would result in countless big firms running over to do business with them. He could use his name to scare anyone who dared to oppose him.

Li Guang quietened. He was getting angry at his rascal son. Only if that bastard had told him earlier about his affair, Li Guang would never have conceded to that engagement with Wang Hualing and today he wouldn’t have to deal with this situation!

Wang Zhihao smirked as he leaned back.
"Is it your final decision Mr. Li?"
"Yes", Li Guang replied firmly, "I’m annulling this engagement officially now."
"I wonder if elder Li is aware of your decision", Wang Zhihao said looking at his phone. He had just received a text from his daughter, Wang Hualing. She was here with Li Fu Tong.
"Mr. Wang. Don’t drag the matter now. It’s over. No good will come if you persist", Li Guang warned.
"I can say the same for you, Mr. Li. Don’t drag it and agree with me to deal with that girl. No good will come if you allow your son to bring a hoe as your daughter-in-law"
"Wang Zhihao!", Li Guang was enraged.
"Isn’t it right? I expect Mr. Li to already have a background check on that wench. So you must know that she was abandoned by her family. She had been living in the streets for one month. How do you think she would have survived if not for selling her body to men?"

"No!, let me go!", Chen Feng screamed as she tried to run away. But again, she was easily captured by Li Luxian as he grabbed her arm firmly and put his other arm behind her waist to keep her in place.

Li Luxian was caught off guard. Meanwhile, Chen Feng used the opportunity to run away.

Chen Feng had barely taken a few steps when Li Luxian reached her in two huge big strides and captured her. She struggled fiercely this time with all her might making them to fall down on the cold, wet grass. Li Luxian grabbed her wrists in his one big hand and pinned them down all the while straddling her waist in an attempt to control his wife that had gone berserk.
Chen Feng, realizing that her struggle was useless now, once again resorted to pitiful look.
"Li Luxian. How about this? We don’t meet them today. We will meet them tomorrow. I’ll come with all the preparations!", Chen Feng said enthusiastically as she fervently tried to persuade her hubby by her words now that her movements were ceased.
By tomorrow, she will just simply fly away to another country never to come back again to avoid meeting them!
