Chen Feng saw Xu Chyngun looking in her direction. She wasn’t sure but she guessed that she saw shock and horror in his eyes as he stared at her as if trying to recall something. Xu Chyngun took a deep breath and even his hands were shaking.

Everyone was puzzled. Why did Xu Chyngun look like he had seen some sort of demon? Why was he becoming pale?

It was when, suddenly, he broke out of his stupor, raised his hand and slapped Xhi Yuan across his face.

The sharp resounding noise of slap reverberated across the hallway.

Everyone was stunned.

"M-Mr. Xu?", Xhi Yuan finally said placing a hand on his stinging cheek. The impact of slap tore off his lip and made his mouth bleed.

"How dare you treat our tenant like that!", Xu Chyngun flared up.

Everyone was taken aback by his sudden outburst. It was known that Xu Chyngun had always shown a lack of interest in his property in this low-cost area. Then why was he now showing such a violent and intense reaction?

"M-Mr. Xu this woman didn’t pay the rent and I was only following the right course..."

"Carelessly throwing away her stuff? Is it following the right course? When did my subordinates ever mention something like this in the training", Xu Chyngun got a little control over his temper because he wanted to leave a good impression of him on Chen Feng.

But he literally wanted to murder that petty manager who had ruined his whole plan to flatter the future Ms. Li! Now, forget about all the flattering and favors, he could only mitigate the situation so that that tyrant Li Luxian wouldn’t kill his entire family for bullying his wife.

"Mr. Xu?", she said in her sweet innocent tune, "It is not Mr. Xhi fault. Chen Feng vile actions had caused us all society members to collectively decide to force her to leave"

"Oh really?", Xi Yuan said in an impassive tone. He was a wise man and he had concluded by now that this girl along with some others that were standing by her side might have initiated all this and caused trouble for future Ms. Li, "Who do you think you are to decide who gets to stay in my building"

Lui Chao broke into a cold sweat. She had initially wanted to flatter Xhi Yuan by taking his side. But it looked to her now that Xu Chyngun was in a bad mood to burst on everyone.

Xu Chyngun faced Chen Feng with reverence visible in his course of action.

"Ms. Chen, I apologize for the inconvenience caused by my manager. Let me arrange a better place for you as my apology"

Everyone gaped at the scene.

Even if Xhi Yuan did something bad to Chen Feng, wasn’t it strange for someone like Xu Chyngun to personally apologize for the loss?

At that moment Xhi Yuan realized one thing. That he was truly done for.

"There is no need...", Chen Feng initiated. To tell the truth, she was herself surprised to know that Mr. Xu spoke up for her. It was no doubt, she was gorgeous. And her looks had been one of her disadvantage over the course of years since she matured. "Alright Mr. Xu...", Chen Feng acquiesced because she didn’t have a place to go anyway.

Maybe he was a good person and was truly genuine and didn’t have any ulterior motives.

"Ms. Chen my men will arrange your stuff in the new apartment. Meanwhile, you can have rest in the guest room", Xu Chyngun said. He was trying hard not to sound too flattering and at the same time leaving a good impression of him on Chen Feng.

If Xu Chyngun acted too polite, it was easy for one to misunderstand his intentions. And Xu Chyngun definitely didn’t want that tyrant, Li Luxian, to have a misunderstanding that he held intentions towards his woman!

Lui Chao and Xhi Yuan, along with some of her minions were the natural target to take out Mr. Xu wrath.

Xu Chyngun faced Xhi Yuan, "You f**ker! Be ready to meet me in court for breaching the contract and practicing the a***e of power" As he said that, Xu Chyngun men surrounded Xhi Yuan and captured him to take him to police.

"And you!", he snarled at Lui Chao. That woman bullied Mr. Li wife. How could he let her go?, "How dare you create trouble in my building!"

"Get out of my building right now!", Xu Chyngun shouted at Lui Chao and her minions, "You guys throw their things out",

"M-Mr. Xu", Lui Chao stuttered as she fearfully stepped back.

Previously didn’t that man say that fairer s.e.x should be treated with respect? Then why was he throwing her out like now!

"What are you waiting for?", Xu Chyngun said, "Now do you also want me to throw you under the bars for slandering others?"

Oblivious to the fate of those who wronged her, Chen Feng merrily walked to the backside of the building. There a black Mercedes rested in its majesty. As Chen Feng approached near the car, she saw her future hubby leaning against the car with a stone face.

Chen Feng had to admit, in his suit, he looked handsome. One couldn’t help his eyes that would keep glued to his chiseled face, lean stature and gorgeous looks.

As Chen Feng neared him, he said.

Chen Feng wanted to think that he was joking but the serious expressions on his face told her otherwise. It took her a few moments to get a hold over her disbelief. She realized that all the rumors that said that this man, Li Luxian, was more punctual than the setting and rising of the sun, were true. She smiled forcefully.

"Mr. Li, I had a little problem in the building", she said politely though she really wanted to curse him. Do these minutes and seconds to your mother! You should better go and marry a clock!

But outwardly, she was all smiles and respect. After all, he was Li Luxian. How could her humble self dare to curse him?

Li Luxian furrowed his brows.

"What problem?"

"Nothing. Just some bunch of sc.u.mbags finding trouble with me for that scandal", Chen Feng said in a dismissive tone. They could’ve caused a bigger problem for her but with Mr. Xu taking her sides, the matter was resolved and didn’t need any further concern from her side.

However, she had no idea that slightest mention of those who bullied her, who were already being kicked out of the building and enduring the wrath of Mr. Xu, to Li Luxian was going to ruin them completely by the hands of Li Luxian men

Li Luxian glanced at his secretary and secretary Zhang understood it at once and walked to a side to make a call. That call marked the end of Xhi Yuhan, Lui Chao and some others who sided her to bully Li Luxian wife.

"So Mr. Li where are we going?", Chen Feng asked.

To her surprise, Mr. Li, who had been coolly leaning against that black Mercedes, straightened and walked closer to her. When the distance between them gradually reduced, she grew hesitant and reluctantly took a step back.

"Mr. Li, what are you..."

He grabbed her hand and looked in her eyes romantically.

"Don’t call me Mr. Li. Call me by my name. We are already engaged. Are you intending to call me Mr. Li even after we got married?"

Chen Feng didn’t know what to do. Her face flushed. Her throat felt so dry. She wanted to gulp down a bucket of ice-cold water.

And what was with that overly-sweet touchy attitude now?

She stupidly stared at that chiseled face that was so close that it could give her a jolt in the heart. She could hear to her heart pounding in her ear.

"We are being watched, wife", Li Luxian cleared; a teasing smile never leaving his lips.

Chen Feng frowned as her mind slowly processed his words.

Inadvertently Chen Feng eyes averted and searched for those who were watching them and she looked around partially to look away from those deep, soul-devouring eyes. Her eyes had barely caught an ephemeral shadow of something when she felt strong fingers firmly grasping her chin and forcing her to look back in those deep brown orbs.

"Don’t look around. They might get suspicious", Li Luxian said looking intently at her gorgeous face as his thumb gently caressed her cheek. Chen Feng could feel his hot thumb against the sensitive skin of her cheek and she involuntarily blushed even more.

She really needed some self-control in with that man! She had to remind herself that he was only acting to stop her heart from somersaulting already.

"Let’s go", Chen Feng said, intending to get rid of that embarrassing situation as soon as possible!
