Chapter One: The Study
NICOLE “One taste and I was ruined. I just didn’t know how badly he’d need me, too.” The music was loud enough to shake the buildings' walls. Bodies packed the mansion, laughter and shouting, blending into the heavy bass that pulsed through the floor beneath my feet. I hated parties, especially parties thrown by rich college students with too much money and too much alcohol, and unfortunately, tonight wasn’t just any party; it was Elena’s back-to-school party, and Elena happened to be my best friend. A no to Elena means I don’t value our friendship, and I do a lot. That’s why I was here, smiling through the torture and pains of how much I hate parties. “Sto standing in the corner looking like you’re attending a funeral,” Elena’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. She was laughing as she appeared beside me with two red plastic cups in her hands, and I rolled my eyes. “I’m not just standing, I’m observing,” I told her, and she scoffed. “You’re judging, Nic. I know you, and I know that look on your face,” she said, and I smiled, knowing she caught me this time. “That too, but one has to be careful. You know I hate parties, Elena,” I informed her. “Yup,” she grinned before shoving one of the drinks into my hand, “for once in your life, Nic, live a little. Don’t be too harsh on yourself, and just enjoy life. We gat to live once.” Elena said, and I nodded before staring at the cup in my hand suspiciously. “What’s this?” I asked, and she shrugged in an ‘I don’t know’ manner. “I have no f*****g idea, but it’s wild.” “That’s comforting.” “Just f*****g drink,” she said, and I sighed before taking a sip. The sweet fruity taste barely masked the alcohol underneath. Elena disappeared back into the crowd before I could complain further, and I was left alone to nurse the drink while I scrolled through my phone. Five minutes later, I finished it, ten minutes later, the room felt warmer and fifteen minutes later, the floor felt strangely soft beneath my feet, and my stomach dropped. Something wasn’t right. I hadn’t had nearly enough alcohol to feel like this. The light blurred, voices echoed, and my pulse hammered. A cold knot formed in my chest. Someone had f*****g messed with my drink, and before panic could fully settle in, a loud cheer erupted from the centre of the room. “Truth or Dare!” I heard Elena yell out, and everyone yelled in excitement. Soon, a group of people gathered at Elena’s table. I was about to run away to a quiet place when someone spotted me, and a low growl escaped my lips. “Nicole!” Elena smiled, “Get over here!” Several hands pulled me into the circle before I could escape. The dizziness made resisting impossible, so I gave in and collapsed onto a couch beside Elena, and the game started. Questions, dare, laughter, and humiliation. The room kept spinning, then it eventually came to my turn. A smirk appeared on one of the football players’ faces. “Truth or Dare?” he asked “Truth,” I answered, and his grin widened. “Who is the hottest man you’ve ever seen?” he asked, and the group erupted with whistles, and heat flushed into my face. Normally, I would have laughed it off and lied, but whatever was in the drink had stripped away every filter I possessed ad unfortunately, one face immediately appeared in my mind. Dark hair, sharp jaw, piercing gray eyes, a man old enough to know better, a man completely off-limits. Elena’s father. My heart nearly stopped as the words nearly slipped out of my lips. How could I tell the school and my best friend that I have been crushing on and having s****l dreams about her father from the moment I knew him? The man who gave me wet dreams and pure orgasms without the actual deeds. The man I moan his name when I had my dildo buried deep into my p***y and increased the pace, imagining her father was thrusting deeper and harder in my wet, dripping p***y. “Nicole?” The mention of my name snapped me out of my thoughts, and I shook my head. How could I tell my friend I am having a crush on his dad? That would ruin everything. Without a second thought, I took the red plastic cup filled with drink and downed all the contents, ignoring the booing from the crowd. “That’s lame, Nic. What are you trying to hide?” Elena asked, and I stuck my tongue out and spun the bottle. There was no escape route for me, and the dares had now grown filthier than last time with every round. This time, someone spun the bottle, and it landed on me again, and Elena stood up. “No more truth from you, bestie. I dare you to….” Her eyes scanned the room until they landed on Jake, and she smiled. “Make out with Jake.” What the heck was she thinking? Jake was the arrogant bully who had tormented me and made my life a living hell for years, and she expected me to make out with him. Jake leaned in with a disgusting smirk, grabbing my waist tightly and pulling me closer to him. His breath reeked of beer and cigarettes. “Come om, prude. Don’t be a f*****g tease,” Jake said, his tongue licking his lips in a disgusted pattern, and I almost puked. Something in me snapped. “NO!” I yelled, pushing his hands off me. “I’m not playing anymore.” The group booed loudly, and Elena laughed, shoving another drink into my hands, while ranting, I had no choice but to drink it, just shut her up. Within minutes, everything became worse than it already was. My head felt heavy, hot and fuzzy. I needed to escape before I made a mess of myself. I stumbled upstairs, pushing through sweaty bodies, my short party dress riding up my thighs as I hurried up the stairs. The house seemed endless, corridor after corridor, door after door. I just wanted somewhere quiet to understand what was wrong with me. I tried several doors, but they were either locked or occupied by students, making out or f*****g themselves. Finally, I found one at the end of the long hallway on the top floor. It looked quiet and safe. I slipped inside and closed the door with a soft click. The study was dimly lit by a single desk lamp. Dark wood shelves lined the walls, filled with books and expensive whiskey bottles. It smelled like leather and power. Immediately, recognition resided in me. This was the study Elena told me never to enter. It was her father’s sanctuary and his personal space. Nobody was allowed in. A deep, irritated voice sliced through the silence. “I said no one comes up here. This place is off-limits and forbidden.” Ethan Blackwood sat behind the massive oak desk, his white shirt unbuttoned at the collar, sleeves rolled up his forearms. Elena’s father, the man from every dark and embarrassing fantasy I’d ever tried to bury, the cold and controlling billionaire. At forty-two, he looked carved from stone, his sharp jaw, silver threading his dark hair, and piercing eyes that pinned me in place. He was terrifying, but that didn‘t stop my p***y from clenching so hard and dripping just by force that I nearly moaned. “I-I’m sorry, Mr Blackwood,” I whispered, my voice shaking with either fear or wants, or lust or needs, I don’t know which right now. “I got lost. The game downstairs went wrong, and I was just looking for the bathroom to calm my nerves.” I told him. He rose slowly, towering over me. His gaze dragged down my body like he could see right through my fabric, lingering on my heaving chest, my hard n*****s, and the way my thighs pressed together. “Lost!? In my private study?” he asked, and I nodded. The spiked drink made everything feel hotter. My n*****s ached, and a fresh rush of wetness soaked my tiny thong. “Are you drunk?’ he asked, and I shook my head. His gaze swept over me, something i his expression softened, and somehow that made everything worse because Ethan Blackwood wasn’t supposed to look at me like that, not with concern, and attention. “You’re trembling, Nicole. Are you scared or something?” he asked, and I nodded, then shook my head. “Both,” I whispered, and he crossed the room in two strides. The scent of cedar, whiskey and expensive cologne surrounded me instantly, and my pulse exploded. “Nicole,” his voice was gentler now, “look at me.” and I did, big mistake, a terrible one at that because the moment our eyes met, something shifted, the air changed and the room changed as well, maybe it wasthe alcohol or it was the forbidden attraction I’d hidden for years, or maybe it was him but suddenly neither of us looked away. The spell was instantly broken when he cleared his throat and took a step back, “You.. ehm… you should head downstairs and head home. Tell Elena you don’t feel well. You should go,” he said, and he was about to walk back to his seat when I held the hem of his shirt. “Mr Blackwood…” I didn’t get to finish my statement when I slammed my mouth down on his.
