There was no way I couldn’t tell Gwen because I couldn’t calm down Lissa at all. I couldn’t leave her either.
In one of the worst moments of my life, I had to call for an ambulance to take her back to the psych ward. I called Gwen to let her know what had happened. Not all of it, but enough.
I’d give her the details in person.
I went to the hospital with Lissa and saw that she was admitted. I had to give the EMTs and the hospital a breakdown of what had happened to cause Lissa’s breakdown.
I felt incredibly guilty. I was the catalyst, not the root cause, but I hadn’t made things better.
I gave Marshall’s information as the boyfriend. I admitted that Lissa and I had been cheating on him. I left my wife out of it.
