CHAPTER NINETEEN
One year later…
Von stood on the sand, his feet bare and his pants rolled above his ankles. No tuxedo on his wedding day. He preferred the casual style they’d decided on—linen pants and a button-down shirt, both in white. He’d never expected to get married at home—well, the beach behind the house—but after Hope and Josh’s wedding last month at the Indigo Bay Cottages Resort, Von was glad he and Marley had chosen this instead.
Not that his sister’s big day had been fancy or over-the-top. Everything had been perfect thanks to Zoe and her crew at the Resort, especially since Hope and Josh had met in the same room where they held the dinner reception. But Von and Marley preferred a simpler wedding.
