EPILOGUE A few years later on Christmas Eve… Outside the wind roared off the Atlantic Ocean. Typical for December in Indigo Bay, as were the clouds hiding the stars and the moon. But inside Von’s beach cottage was nice and cozy. The way home was supposed to be. He’d learned this year that nothing beat being home for the holidays. The multi-colored lights from the Christmas tree reflected off the living room windows. Carols played while a yule log burned on the television screen. The only thing missing to cap off this December twenty-fourth was snow. Not likely, given their location and weather forecast. But this was the time for miracles. Either way, he had no complaints.
