Chapter 11- Resign!

Varun POV:-

I looked at her till the elevator door closed. I knew I could easily make her agree to my conditions. But when I felt pain in my cheek, I realized the pain I caused. She was right at her point. Because of me, she is going to lose her job. She is an adult and she can make decisions herself. She didn't me and anyone. The moment, she told me she was going to pay me everything. I understood one thing. She will pay for everything as she said.

She is a self-respected person. Her whole life, she earned herself and did all the hard work. So, she can help her family, and her mother won't have to worry about her home when she reaches her 50s. I saw how she lowered her face when she confessed the truth to her mother.

Also, I knew his boss's crush on her. So, I wanted to find out his reaction when he knew her at her lowest point. If he accepts her, then I know he truly loves her and he can do everything for her.

When she told me to wait for her, I respected her decision as she wanted to meet alose to her staff for the last time. After all, they wouldn't be able to talk freely if I had been present there.

Nandini POV:-

I went to the elevator and pressed the second-floor button where is present my office. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I heard a ding and I opened my eyes.

The elevator door opened and I looked at the door of my office. The guard uncle saw me and he looked at me with shock.

" Nandini, what happened to you? " He asked.

" I had an accident, uncle. " I confessed with pain in my eyes. His eyes went to my legs and he looked at it with shock. He opened the door for me immediately.

I entered and saw everyone. Everyone stopped working and looked at me with shock.

" Nandini! " I heard many voices. They all stood up from their seat and came towards me.

" Nandini, what happened to you? " Many people asked simultaneously.

" NANDINI! " We heard a roar. We all flinched as we all knew who roared at me.

Everyone started to take a few steps from the right or left direction making me look at him.

Everyone saw how his eyes turned from rage to shock.

" Nandini, how does this happen? " He asked while sitting on his knees. I saw how he raised his hand to touch my knee, but he couldn't able to touch it. Everyone looked at me with shock. I closed my eyes as I didn't want to cry right now in front of many people.

" Nandini, you are strong! " I chatted this mantra in my mind many times before opening my eyes. I saw everyone's eyes filled with tears including my boss.

" Minakshi, can you give me a pen and paper? " I asked, and she nodded and left to take the things. I looked at my boss whose face turned wet because of tears.

" Boss, I want to apologize for yesterday. I wasn't able to reach the venue on time. So, today, I am here to give my resignation letter to you. " I confessed. Minakshi gave me the letter pad along with pen and paper. I wrote my resignation letter and gave it to my boss who looked at me with shock.

" No, I am not going to accept this letter. You will start working once you recovered. I am giving you paid leave. " He stated, and I glared at him.

" No, I want to resign from here. Boss, you do not have to do any charity on me. I know you can find many suitable candidates now. I am no longer fit in the position I was holding. " I stated.

" I am not doing any charity on you. You are the best employee of our company. I will hire an assistant for you. You can guide him/her through everything, You don't need to resign. " My boss said, and I looked at him with annoyance.

" No, I won't work here anymore. I want this month's salary, sir. This is my final decision. You can't stop me. After all, I didn't sign any bond with you. " I stated, and he looked at me with shock.

" Is this your final decision? " He asked, and I nodded. He took a deep breath and wiped his tears. He stood up and nodded.

" Mohit, transfer the salary to Nandini's account and I accept her resignation letter. " He stated while looking at me with an unknown emotion.

Once he went to his cabin, everyone came and hugged me one by one. After meeting everyone, I left and came down.

Once the elevator door opened. I saw Varun whose eyes were closed. I course tiredness in his eyes.

" Let's go! " I stated, and he opened his eyes immediately.

" How did it go? " He asked, and I sighed.

" He accepted my resignation and sent the salary to my account. " I confessed, and he nodded.

He made me sit in the car and took us to the hospital. When he made me sit in the bed, the door opened and we saw my doctor.

" Are you feeling pain? " He asked, and I nodded.

He checked my vitals and wound. Then he said, " I am allowing you to leave this room for a week until your leg injuries are recovered. You should eat now and take your medicine. " He stated, and the door opened revealing my family.

" Who are you? Why are you coming to this room? " The nurse asked.

" They are my mother and sister. " I stated, and the nurse nodded and they left the room.

" Nandini, I brought food for you. " Mom said and opened the box. It contains tomato soup and bread.

I ate them and took my medicines after that.

Soon, I went into the dreamland.
