“I love you too,” her words pierced my chest with the intensity of one thousand blazing arrows. Not because she said it, but because she meant every word. I watched as she took a step closer to him. I felt the intention she had of placing a kiss on him again. I stood like a buffoon, just staring at them. But just as she was about to make contact, she hesitated, only to turn in my direction. There was a new spark in her eyes that I had not seen before, but I knew it wasn't because of me. Leaving them alone was the best course of action.
