The idea that more than just my parents needed me for their own benefit drove me into a spiral of depression. I needed to step away from all of this. I made my way out of the house before I heard another word. I stood outside for a moment, unsure of where to go. When I saw a bench on the corner of the house, I wasn’t sure how I had missed it earlier. I took a seat and closed my eyes. I took in several breaths, allowing my mind to wander. I have always found peace when I accepted the silence around me. But even then, I felt a nudging feeling that someone was watching me. When I opened my eyes, I found no one nearby, but when I looked back into the house to see Alejandro standing at the window just staring in silence. Honestly, if it had been anyone else, it would be creepy and at a stalker
