For the last two days, I had been dying to get Isabella alone again. I knew she was upset but all I could think about was her lips and taking claim over her. I wanted nothing more than to taste her. Unfortunately, I had been forced away by my work responsibilities and when I arrived back, she had managed to avoid being left alone with me. It was not until the second day that I realized why. I had been a fool to think that Isabella would have waited for me all this time. The second I heard his name my mind went blank for a moment; I had been a fool to believe he hadn’t remained in her life. It was difficult to accept she had moved on, having myself struggled to have one moment without her overpowering my thoughts.
