Annabeth's POV
BORING..
But while the teacher was in the middle of the lesson, chaos suddenly broke out. Many students ran out of their classrooms—loud and excited. Even my classmates and the teacher went outside to see what was happening, while I just raised an eyebrow at their behavior.
What's going on? Did someone die? Who? I haven't even made a move yet.
I calmly walked out of the building and headed toward the very center of the field, even though it was hot. There were many people there, forming a circle around one spot—which I assumed was where all the attention was focused.
Hmm... who could that be? Damn it, I'm not a gossip, but I'm curious! Of course I need to know who it is—what if there's someone else stealing the spotlight aside from the Royalties? I have other competitor?
As I got closer, a smell grew stronger. The scent was familiar, but I couldn't remember where I'd smelled it before. I searched through Annika's memories and that's when I realized who it belonged to.
My pace quickened.
I didn't know what to feel. My head and blood were heating up, anger surge up. I was excited, I feel like I'm about to blow up.
Why am I so angry at them?
Simple.
Whatever Annika feels toward them, I feel too. Her heart is filled with anger, hatred, pain, suffering, shame, disappointment, and sadness—and I'm feeling all of it right now.
So if Annika wants to kill the people who hurt her, then it'll be a pleasure doing so. I want to bring them down one by one. Break them apart. Cripple them until they can no longer move their legs. Cut off their hands so they can never push me again. Split their tongues so they can never hurt me with their sharp words again. If they hadn't hurt Annika, I wouldn't be hurting right now.
"Move!" someone shoved me, causing me to fall to the ground.
I shot a murderous glare at the girl who was already walking away, heading toward the Royalties.
Once I find you, you're finish' I threatened through clenched teeth—but I didn't say it out loud.
I stood up, brushed off my blue off-shoulder dress, and finally made my way toward them. I pushed through the crowd; those who refused to move got hurt quietly, making them step back and leave their spots. Stupid.
When I reached the front, I saw them.
The Royalties were complete.
The people who made my life—and Annika's—hell.
At the center were my siblings: DREX, JOSIAH, CALEB, DIANNE, and DIONNE, welcoming the newly arrived Royalties—LUCIANA, LUMINO, and LEAN, the princes and princesses of the Water Kingdom.
YVO and VLEEN were also there, the princes of the Fire Kingdom, along with LIGHT and GLOOM from the Dark Kingdom.
Of course, the arrogant DRAVIS of the Wind Kingdom was there too, waving at the screaming girls—which made me roll my eyes hard.
The noise grew even louder, especially from the boys, when the one Annika and I hated the most stepped out of the vehicle...
WRAISE of the Light Kingdom.
The root of everything. The one who pushed Annika. The one who stole all the attention.
I looked her up and down and couldn't help but grimace.
'There's nothing special about her... so why does she get so much attention? She's only has better boobs and ass—her face can't even compare to Annika's, ' I mocked her in my mind.
"WELCOME BACK, ROYALTIES!" a voice announced from somewhere, followed by the sound of trumpets. So dramatic.
"Thank you, Dean Fresco," they said to the speaker.
Oh? That was the Dean? Why does his voice sound different? Probably because I almost strangled him to death.
"Omg my Yvoooo!" Dianne squealed as she hugged Yvo tightly. The people around them laughed—some were swooning, others jealous and wishing they were in Dianne's place.
Yvo looked uncomfortable but hugged her back anyway. I didn't miss the way he kept glancing at Dionne, who was looking at another prince- Vleen, who looked hurt as he watched Dianne and Yvo.
"Ohhh..." my lips formed an O as I realized what was going on.
Looks like I'm really lucky today. I think I already know how I'll start my plans.
I smirked—but quickly returned to a serious expression when I noticed Lean looking in my direction.
Her smile widened when she saw that I was already here at their school. She nudged the others, and moments later, all of them were staring straight at me. My siblings glared at me with pure hatred, while the other Royalties wore smug, stupid smiles.
They think they've already won? Ha. We'll see.
"Annika, our DEAREST FRIEND!" Lean greeted me mockingly as she walked closer.
Here comes the devil.
I laughed inside my mind, imagining how much I would enjoy watching her die.
