Danny surveyed the gathering buzz of people as they slowly filed into the police auditorium. It provided him a moment of introspection before he would begin to interact with others. A satisfied smile curled across his face as he stood proudly on the auditorium’s stage in his official police dress uniform.
“Walsh, why do you have to be bigfooting the rest of our awards?” The voice came from a man also dressed in an official uniform, just off stage. Recognizing the voice, Danny held his smile as he turned to greet him.
