(Magnus) We managed to sneak in at the last minute and took our seats near the front. I quickly scanned the room from over my shoulder to try and catch a glimpse of Andy but she was facing forward. She caught me looking but only offered a half smile then looked back at the podium. Confused, I turned back around just as Damon made it into his seat next to me. “How did it go?,” Damon mumbled quietly. “It’s done,” Selene replied casually as she flipped open her compact mirror to gaze at her reflection. On our way here, she and I had executed our plan to notify the unknown party that we had found the research and were taking it with us to the Archivio.
