The Births
Two shall be born on the day when the moon and sun shall meet in the sky. One of the blood of kings, the other a child of a winter bride. One shall be blessed by the mother moon, given the gift of tune. One shall be given a gift of the Sun, the power of 100 men in one.                 They shall grow and live free until it is time for the kingdom to have their need. They will answer the call, one in shadows of a darken hall, another by one of the shades of an oak tall. One shall bring the forest king, while the other will bring a blessed ring.                 These two will by the power they have from birth, use their magic to protect the hollow earth. They will prove their worth, by sacrifice and bloody work. The battle will come to close, there will be silence and a kingdom will bellow. For the life of one will be gone…as the night fades with the rising sun.                                                                                     X                 Aldric, the guardian of the book of prophecy shut the tome. He looked at the sky running one of his hands down his silver-white beard as he looked up at the sky. Aldric’s steel color eyes watched as sun and moon moved closer together, his lips tight as he gripped the tome.                 “So, it begins.” He muttered.                 As Aldric said this the door to this study was thrown up and a young boy ran up to him his wide blue eyes looking at the guardian.                 “Mage Aldric!”                 Aldric turned to attention to the boy, a son from a local farmer who was pale. He stood up and headed to the boy knowing fully well what was going on.                 “How long has your mother have until she gives birth?”                 “The midwife says it will be about midday…. but….”                 “She called me because I have some experience on how to help both mother and child.”                 The boy nodded as he led the guardian to his home, a home that was decorated with winter flower, the flower that most brides plant when they were married in the winter. Aldric nodded at this and whispered a prayer to the Moon that the child and mother would be healthy.  As he did this the sun and moon etched closer together.                  In the palace of Darina, the king paced back and forth as the cries of pain came from his head wife. He also had called for the greatest healer in all the land to help his wife. The king watched the sky also, he had heard tales that children born during this time would become the heroes of the kingdom.                 He couldn’t help but think of how much his family would be rewarded by this. His family name would go down in history for giving birth to one of the heroes. His kingdom would be famous and they would live in bliss.                 “Yes, this will be wonderful, the son of King Icarus, the savior of the lands.” King Icarus called out watching the moon now touching leaving the world in darkness.                                                                                                   X                 In a hall that was dark and bares a woman laid by the fire. She was of old blood which many people whispered about, the blood of a king who fell in love with an elf. She didn’t care about that now as she was giving birth to her child.                 As the moon and sun were placed together, she felt someone touched her shoulder and whispered filled her ear.                 “Hush, I am here…breath my love.”                 “Promise me you will keep him safe.” The woman replied weakly as the baby came out crying out.                 “Our child will be safe; I will make sure of it.”                 The woman nodded as she picked up the child weakly. In her final breath, she whispered his name.                 “Alastair…”
