Tony's POV
"I'm her boyfriend." those words kept repeating in my head. How could such a beautiful girl be dating such an asshole? I don't know what it is about her. Usually I never get involved with humans and their drama, but seeing the way he touched her infuriated me, my wolf just told me to go and protect her. I really had to control myself before I shredded him to pieces. I wanted nothing more than spill his blood for even looking at her.
At first at thought that she had to be a wolf, the way I was reacting to her, I thought maybe she could be my mate. But she smells just like a human, and no wolf in the history of ever, has had a human mate. Even when I suggested we do our project on werewolves she agreed obviously oblivious to what I was trying to hint at. Just looking at her golden brown curls, her plump lips, and beautiful dark drown eyes. I was lost, she was gorgeous and it was hard to take my eyes off of her.
"So?" she said looking at me a little confused. I felt my face heat up, realizing I stared at her for too long.
"Uh yeah we can get started on it, what do you say my house?" she giggled at my response and shook her head.
"As if! What if you're a serial killer and or a kidnapper? I am not risking it nope! Let's go to the cafe down the street, I am starving!" she said. I couldn't help but chuckle and shake my head at her.
"You're ridiculous, why would I kidnap you after I just saved you from your little boyfriend?"
"I don't know! But drive before I get hangry" I smiled and nodded. She was so feisty. I pulled out of the school's parking lot and I notice Liz start taking her uniform's cardigan off, filling the air with her delicious scent. Man I barely knew the girl and she was going to drive me mad. But from what I've heard her effect on me is a very mild version on what you're supposed to feel when you meet your mate. Sure I feel little shocks every time we touch, but it's not the tingly sensation everyone tells me I'm supposed to feel.
We pulled up to a little old cafe that was about five minutes away from school. Once we entered it was very 50s themed with checkered floors and red and white booths. The host sat us down in the corner of the restaurant towards the back. "So Liz what would you recommend from here?" I asked eyeing the menu.
"Wait! You've never been here?! Oh my God"
" Hey I just moved here remember? I have no idea where anything is in this town"
"Oh yeah I forgot, well if you don't mind me asking why did you move so late in the year? I mean wouldn't it have been easier to finish school first?" She asked. I had to come up with an answer quickly. I couldn't just tell her that I came here in search of my mate. I was supposed to find my mate at the age of sixteen and yet here I am just turned eighteen and I still haven't found anyone. A witch told me that my mate was here in this town. I've met with almost every pack and still I have no one. At first I thought it was Hannah, but after I turned 16, I still felt nothing special towards her. My dad is starting to worry because an Alpha always needs his Luna and I'm next in line, Luna-less.
"Yeah, that's what I told my parents but my parents work for the government and they had to move here right away, along with a few other families that we grew up with, so we all got enrolled in school, you know business stuff and all" I said. She looked at me and shrugged. That's when the waitress came over.
"Hello welcome! I'm Monica I'll be your sever today. What can I get you started to drink with today?" Before I could even look at the menu Liz started ordering.
"Hey Monica okay we're ready, so we'll have one Oreo cheesecake milk shake, a birthday cake milk shake, two cheese burgers with bacon with some cheese fries, ooo and a grilled cheese, and I can't forget two iced cokes, thank you!" she said closing my menu and handing both of them to the waitress. I looked at her and chuckled. She was just so cute.
"You're going to eat all that?" I asked smiling at her. She looked at me and nodded.
"Trust me you're new, you wouldn't know what's good here. I made you a favor! Trust me I am excellete at eating so I know all the good food." Liz said and I laughed out loud. I couldn't believe this girl. After the food arrived I couldn't deny it , the food was amazing here. We finished our burgers and fries, than shared the grilled cheese as we started our homework. "So werewolves huh? Like how are we going to make the teacher and class believe that there is a possibility that these mythical creatures exist? I don't even know anything other than like full moon, serial killers, unless we're talking like hot steamy werewolves like Twilight. Man we should have picked mermaids, there's more scientific research on them!" she spilled over as she tried to think of werewolf facts.
I chucked at her and shook my head. "You're a very funny girl you know? Very outspoken"
"Hey I'm just saying, maybe we should do werewolf's like Twilight. Easy A, everyone loves a hot, good looking werewolf" she said. I smirked and looked at her
"Oh really? You're into that?" she made a funny face and shook her head.
"Oh my God, not like that! You're weird, I like that! And take it as a compliment because I hate everyone."
Elizabeth's POV
Spending time with Tony was a blast. He was funny and really liked to poke my buttons. He truly distracted me, that I had forgotten about Tyler until Kate sent me a picture of him at a party with Valerie. He wasn't doing anything that screamed cheating, but he knew how upset it made me when he was around her. I wish he'd just give me the attention I needed when I needed him the most.
"So here in this article it says that, werewolves turn on the full moons and that they always travel in packs, if they're alone they're most likely rouges and this one crazy guy says he was on a hike at night like a dumb ass and he said he found a bunch of giant wolves fighting each other and later on, he seen one walk away in two feet transforming into a man." I informed Tony " Man poor guy must have been on some hard core drugs" I said as I looked at Tony.
"Huh, okay maybe if we change the full moon thing, it might seem more believable I don't know." Before I could respond, a bunch of people from our school started coming in, and from the looks of it, it was all of the kids that transferred along with Tony.
"Man where have you been? You missed Carlos and me fighting! I got him good in the eye, but he should be fine." said a young guy running to Tony and pretty much tackling him. Before I knew it, like 5 guys and a girl came in and sat down. I notice a girl in specific sitting down next to Tony, giving me a death glare. I cleared my throat and looked at the guy who was talking.
"Hi I'm Liz, we're in the middle of a project here and you're distracting my partner, and please don't touch my grilled cheese!" I whined as he started eating my half of the sandwich.
"Hey Liz! I'm Matt, I'm sorry but I am starving." He said, extending his hand to me, Devouring the sandwich with the other. I shook his hand and smirked.
"Fine you owe me a sandwich, And some Coffee for tomorrow morning!" my smirk grew even larger as I realized this probably the Matt Kate was spilling about." On second thought, scratch the sandwich, just buy me and my friend coffee's tomorrow deal?"
"Just because I don't know you and I stole your sandwich I will agree." I smiled and nodded. Kate was going to freak when she see's him tomorrow.
"You don't have to get her anything Matt" said the girl, still glaring at me.
"Excuse me, is there a problem with Matt getting me coffee?" I asked cutting to the chase and being blunt. I hated girls who automatically hate other girls. I don't even know this b***h. I caught her off by surprise, since she seemed to be at a loss of words. " I didn't think so, so why don't you mind your own business" My bluntness seemed to make Tony and Matt chuckle to themselves.
"Good job, no one ever seems to stand up to Hannah about how bitchy she is" Whispered Matt. I smiled mischievously. I looked at Tony realizing how late it was.
"Hey Tony, do you mind maybe giving a ride back to school? I need to get to my car so I can go home." I told Tony. My dad was going to be so mad, that I had missed dinner. Time with Tony seems to just go by so fast, I loose track of time.
"Oh no let me just take you home, school's parking lot is closed anyways" He offered, I smirked.
" It's okay, I always sneak in" I said.
He chuckled and shook his head. " No, I'm taking you home, and I'll pick you up in the morning as well." This seemed to piss off Hannah, so I smiled and decided to be petty.
"Okay deal, pretty boy. But let's go" We garbed our stuff and left his friends behind. He once again opened the door for me. I don't know what it was about him but he made me feel butterflies- NO! Elizabeth you have a boyfriend, you can't think of him like that. I mean Tyler was at a party instead of doing homework like he said.
As we were driving I smiled and looked at Tony. "So let me guess that Hannah chick is your little girlfriend or was." This seemed to catch him by surprise, he cleared his throat
"Um I mean yes and no? Not really I mean she's pretty and all. We did have a thing but it felt more forced than natural but that was like two years ago. I just realized I didn't like her like that and she's been weird ever since." He admitted. I didn't say anything for a minute, I don't know why but him calling her pretty really bothered me, even the thought of him dating her. He pulled up to my house and set the car in park.
"Thank you Antonio, if you don't come for me tomorrow it's fine, I can have my friend Kate come for me" I said trying not be much of a burden.
" Oh no, I'll be here at seven AM on the dot, but hey Liz, please it's just Tony to you, and you forgot to fill something out" He said looking innocently.
"What did I forget" I asked.
"Here fill this out" He said as he handed me his phone to fill out my contact information. I laughed and shook my head.
"Is this your way of asking for my number? Um sir remember I have a boyfriend" I said teasing.
"No, I mean yes but you know it's for the project, in case we want to work on it during the weekend or something." He said obviously lying, but he did have a point. I typed in my number and smiled.
"Tomorrow at seven than."
"Yes ma'am"
"Goodnight Tony" I smiled and walked out his car. As I walked in, it looked like dad wasn't in the couch like he always was at this time. I headed upstairs and found him sleeping in his bed. I smiled and covered him. Looks like he's feeling better. I went into my room and saw that Tyler was blowing up my phone. I groaned and shook my head.
I cared about Tyler but I knew he wasn't being himself anymore. I was tired of his lies and his games. I was tired of dating the popular jock, I gave up the popular life a long time ago. After my mom died, I realized none of my friends were true friends. Kate was the only one who stuck by me. I'd love to think that Tyler would understand me, but ever since I stopped hanging out with his friends, it's like he doesn't have time for me anymore.
Thinking of the past and all of Tyler's lies I got mad and decided not to talk to him and ignore his calls and messages.
Unknown: Hey I had fun tonight little Ms. Sassy. I'm glad you're my partner.
Me: Haha Ms. Sassy? And I'm guessing this is Antonio?
Tony: I told you It's Tony. But hey Liz, I lied. I totally wanted your number to flirt with you.
Me: I knew it! Flirt all you want, but I'm not flirting back .
Tony: It's okay, one day I'll steal you away from that little boyfriend of yours.
I smiled and shook my head as I felt my cheeks burn bright red. Why was Tony having this effect on me? I couldn't get him out of my mind. I couldn't help but text him all night, and the thought of seeing him tomorrow, only added to my excitement.
