Alpha’s Hope

Martin Thorn (The Healer)

Freedom is like heavens. You cannot understand this until you know what it is to be captured. Hiding is one thing but hiding your real self consumes you day by day. By the time I stepped on this territory I was feeling so different. Not like the times I’ve been captured on this damn castle. All the freedom is overtaking me slowly and I have to admit that it feels really great.

       Alpha send a maid as he said and that maid was a poor she wolf who lost her newborn pup during her labour. I was sure this is such a knowingly done move by the Alpha himself. She took baby and hold it as it was her own. My eyes filled with tears but I kept them.

“ Hello sir. My name is Rose. If you let me I want to breastfeed her. “ she said.

I really hadn’t time to check its gender. It was a beautiful she-wolf as Rose said.

“ I will be glad. And Rose.. thank you so much.” I smiled. I was curious why Rose have not suprised by little wolf.  She was supposed to be born in human form. I’ve never heard or seen a newborn wolf. I don’t think that Rose did either.

“What’s her name?” Rose asked.

“Ummm... She doesn’t have one.” I answered. Really what should be her name?

“ You should give her a name ,sir.” Rose whispered. 

“Martin, you can calll me Martin.”I said automaticly.

For I didn’t have any kids I have never named a wolf. Although it was not an easy job a name popped in my mind immediately.

    Once I had a chance to have kids, oh love pups, I used to play with my pack pups happily, but fate was not agree with me. I lost my pregnant mate on that dark day,  Lord Brigth and his troops of hunters attacked my pack and killed all. Which I survived as a coward, hiding in shadows and transform myself as a voluntier slave for my pathetic life.

“ Hope.” I mumbled.

“Her name is Hope. “  I said to Rose. This was certain that she became my hope at that time.

“ Come on little Hope. Now we need to clean you first then I can feed you love. “ she said.

She ran a bath for Hope.

“ I will be outside for you need some privacy I think.” I said to Rose.

“ Oh no need sir, I will shift to feed her so you can stay if you don’t bother the scene.” she said with excitement.

“ It is better I should wait outside. Share your moments with eachother.” I replied and headed to outside.

The night was silent and still. It was not a relief as I smelled the thin air. I know I will face sooner or later with what I did. Rage of the Lord would find me soon but now I had a chance with Alpha Jev.  Silence before the storm was peaceful yet it was not relaxing. “Let’s see what tomorrow brings.” I thought to myself.
