Chapter 4: Conri’s POV

As I said that word, everyone turned to look at me, shocked at the discovery including my mother.

“Iris wake up please, come on wake up. I just met you, I can’t lose you so soon.” The girl with my mate said, tears streaming down her face as she tapped my mate’s face. So that’s her name, beautiful.

I stepped forward carrying her gently and told the girl with her to follow me. Everyone gave way as I took her to the infirmary in a rush. Immediately I got there, the doctor jumped up and scurried to her side as I was putting her down on the bed.

He checked her vitals, her eyes, her wounds, and other stuff he did but I didn’t concentrate because my eyes were fixed on my beautiful mate’s face. She looks so pale and thin like she has been starved. Just then, the doctor straightened himself and started walking to me with a worried look on his face.

“Doctor, is she going to be okay? Will you be able to save her? Say something” I said in fear, fear of losing my mate before I even get to know her.

“I don’t know if she’s going to survive it because they cut one of her veins. She’s even lucky to still be alive right now. But there might be a way for her to survive” He said looking sad but at the same time hopeful.

“What’s the way, doctor? I’ll do anything and pay any amount of money for you to keep her alive,” I said, my voice cracking in the process and trying to hold back the tears.

Alpha kings don’t cry. How will they see me if anyone sees me crying? I just have to be strong for both me and my mate.

“Well you could donate some of your blood for her because due to the slow healing process, I would guess that she’s an omega and won’t be able to heal by herself and you are the alpha king, your blood is stronger so you’ll be able to save her”

“Then what are we waiting for doctor? Let’s do this right away, let’s not waste any more time please,” I said in a pleading tone.

“As you wish Alpha. Just get on the bed close to the Luna while I set up everything here” He said walking towards a cabinet with a lot of needles, drip, and one plastic-like rope. I don’t even know what the f**k that is.

He started hooking up the needles to me and my mate then did some other things. All of a sudden, the blood started moving from my body to my iris’s own. How the f**k did he do that? Mehn I’ll never understand a doctor’s work.

After I had given her the proper amount of blood she needed, she started healing up well and the doctor assured me that she would be awake soon enough.

I left her side for a little bit to get some good food to eat and saw Ashina, Iris’s friend in the kitchen eating. When I entered the room, she quickly shot up from her seat and bowed down to me.

“Alpha king. Sorry for this, I was just hungry, and it’s been long since I ate a proper meal like this so…” she said getting scared and rubbing her hands together nervously.

“Relax okay, it’s fine. I understand that it might have been hard out there. You can eat as much as you want to your satisfaction and any friend of my mate is a friend of mine” I said in a calming and soothing voice.

She looked relieved and went back to her meal. Just then, a maid came out of the kitchen and asked me if I was ready to eat. I told her yes and a few minutes later, she came out with my food. Ashina and I ate in silence and I was the first to finish and quickly went to my room to freshen up.

When I was done with my shower, I got dressed in simple black jeans trousers and a black T-shirt then grabbed my phone and headed out of my room only to bump into Leah. Not this b***h again, doesn't she take a f*****g hint?

“Hey baby, where are you off to in a hurry?” She said coming close to me and rubbing her hands on my chest. I grabbed her hand hard and threw it to the side.

“Never ever in your useless slutty life call me baby again and where I’m going is none of your f*****g business so mind yourself,” I said in a menacing tone. She whimpered silently but still tried as much as possible to keep a confident demeanor.

“Whatever. I just came here to clear up some rumors that those maids are spitting out of their mouths. They are saying you have found your mate but we both know that’s not true so if you could just tell them that it’s a lie and that we will be together, it would be great.” she said in a stupid high-pitched voice.

“Well news flash for you, I HAVE found my mate and she’s way prettier than you will ever be. I’m glad I have found her so you can get that stupid thought out of your head that we will ever be together” I said with a triumphant look on my face and her with a shocked look.

Next thing, I heard the doctor’s voice in my head telling me my mate was awake. With a huge smile on my face, I pushed Leah to the side and rushed downstairs, told Ashina that Iris was awake and we both ran to the infirmary.

On getting there, we heard some commotion inside her room and ran inside to see my mate with the small knife they use to operate on someone pointing it at the doctor:

“Where am I?” she asked looking confused
