Meeting her

Chapter 2: Conri’s POV

After finishing at the GYM, Conri decided to go and have his bath before the meeting with the elders of the werewolves.

Almost to his room, Leah, his younger sister’s best friend blocked his way not allowing him to pass.

“What do you want this time Leah? I’m not in the mood for your games or childishness” I asked in an irritated tone.

Don’t call me rude or anything because you’re not in my shoes right now. If you were, you would have wanted to seal her mouth up, FOR GOOD. She started touching my arms to my chest.

“Wouldn’t it be nice for the almost strongest female wolf in the pack and the alpha king to be together? I mean think about it, My mate died in a tragic accident and I don’t think you’ll ever find your mate so…”

She didn’t get to finish her sentence when I held her by the neck against the wall.

“If you even try and spit that nonsense from that s**t hole you call mouth again, I’ll make sure you regret ever being born. I’ll find my mate and she’ll be your luna queen and even if I don’t which I highly doubt, I wouldn’t even dream of coming your way let alone think about making you my luna so forget it and next time, Shut your trap” I said with a slightly raised voice and my hand still around her neck

I drop her on the floor only for her to start choking and crying. Immediately I heard footsteps coming from downstairs and judging by the way it sounded, it was my sister.

Immediately my Sister saw the state of her friend, she rushed to her side trying to calm her down and check if she was okay

“Conri what did you do? why is my friend on the floor crying?…..OMG, is that a bruise on her neck? Why did you touch her?” She asked me looking shocked and angry

“Before u get annoyed at me for no good reason, your little friend here was the one acting like a slut and throwing herself on me. And she has the mind to tell her alpha that he will never find his mate, your Luna. Warn her else this bruise I left on her is just the beginning of what she will experience if she tries that rubbish again. Excuse me” I said as I walked around them and into my room slamming the door into her face.

After having his bath and the long meeting with the elders of the werewolf, they concluded that they were just bloodthirsty and maybe territory so we need to keep our guards up and inform the rest of the packs around the world of this. We need to be extra prepared because we don’t know what’s coming.

“Alpha, We just received news of another attack at Bloodmoon pack. And they confirmed that it was the same group that attacked Apex Pack, Hunter’s Den, Moonlite Pack, and Night Walker Pack” My beta, Gonzalo, says

Right now we are in my office trying to figure out what is going on with all the recent attacks happening.

“What could be the main reason for all the attacks recently? It just doesn't make any sense. No pattern, no warning nothing or threatening note” I said wondering what was going on in my kingdom.

Everything has just been in chaos since these attacks started and the alphas of the different packs keep pestering me to inform them about the reason for the attacks. They are starting to feel unsafe and I don't even know what to do.

“Was any of the packs able to catch any of the culprits?” I asked my beta with the hopes that they did

“No alpha. According to the other alpha and their pack members, the wolves were too sly and fast for any of them to be caught.” Gonzalo said

“s**t, how are we supposed to stop the attacks if everyone in the packs is incompetent and can’t catch just one of them. I think we should send some…..” I was saying before I was interrupted by my mum welcoming herself into my office like she always does.

“Hola mamá, ¿qué haces aquí?” I asked my mum in Spanish, her favorite language that she forced me and my sister to learn.

“¿No puedo volver a ver a mi guapo hijo?” she asked back. I turned to Gonzalo and asked him to excuse us for a minute.

After he left, I asked my mum why she came because anytime she comes to my office, it’s something important. Usually, she makes me meet her at her house or the kitchen or sitting room.

“Sabes que todos hablan de los ataques que han estado ocurriendo y están preocupados, incluyéndome a mí.” she told me

“Mum, please not you too,” I said rubbing my hands down my face and sitting down feeling and looking exhausted.

“what do you mean by ‘not you too’? People are worried son and it’s your responsibility as the Alpha king to take care of things happening in your kingdom now that you have not found your Luna, you have more work on your shoulders.

“Mum I understand where you are coming from but I don't have any leads right now, it's really hard to catch them when everyone is useless in every damn pack they have attacked and please don't talk about this. I'll find her soon, I have hope that she's near

“I think it would be best to find a strong she-wolf and make her your Luna”

“Mum don't start with this. You know I would never do that no matter what”

Suddenly one of the warriors barged into my office looking out of breath

“Alpha, there are rogues outside. One is badly injured and the other is screaming for help”

Immediately I ran out of my office to go and see what the commotion was all about. Getting closer to the scene, my wolf started getting excited and happy for no reason.

When I got to the front, I saw a very fragile girl looking bruised and that’s when I knew why my wolf was so happy. When our eyes met, I said the word I had been wanting to say for years now.

“Mate” she looked shocked and fainted.
