*Yura’s POV* Dinggg donggg…….. a school bell rings. Mr. Ryu finally end the class with a template note, “I hope you guys learn something from this semester, enjoy your Christmas holiday, meet your family, and I’ll see you on February with a list of universities you want. Thank you”. Yup, I’m on the third grade and need to be ready for college. But... this is Christmas holiday, what is college? Oh... C’mon, who doesn’t love Christmas??!! You? No way. While I’m packing up the bag to go home, suddenly someone pat my back, “Yura, what’s your plan for tonight? Let’s go to my house, dinner with us?” said Kaya, my best friend. “Hey Kaya~ waa, is it really okay? I don’t want to interrupt your quality time with your family, hehe” I replied. “What? You are like my family, my mom keeps asking when are you going to join us for dinner.” she said. “Really? Okay then. I’d love to! Also, I have nowhere to go except my house hahaha” “YAYY!! You’re the best!” she replied happily. Ding Dongg.. (speaker sound) “Ehm ehm, all student council please proceed to join our last meeting for this semester right now. I’ll wait for your attendance in the Student Council Room” (distant voice) Kyaaa Hongsik-ahh >. Yup, that’s Hongsik’s voice, the head of student council who has a tons of fans, not surprised every girl react like that. “ARGHH DAMN DUTIES! Why now of all times?? I don’t want to keep my family waiting” said Kaya. “Okay young lady, maybe you should join the meeting now, so you can go home early. Go Go Go!” I replied. “Erghh, alright. Wait for me in the soccer field?” she asked “Sure. See you” and so I go to the soccer field, waiting for her. -------- The sun is setting, Kaya hasn’t come back, I’m all alone in the field. Being alone makes me think, this is the first time I celebrate Christmas alone, I mean, I have Kaya, but these past 3 years, I celebrated with my ex, until he cheated on me with a mistress. Can you imagine? A mistress! She is someone else’s mistress, and he still chooses her over me. I hate him, but my heart still hurts so much. Without realizing, I’m crying in the field, pity myself. Winter should be my favorite season of all times, but now I doubt it. Suddenly someone pops in front of me, “Here, use mine...” he said I look up and I find Dohyun, the school’s celebrity, offering his handkerchief. I ask him with confusion, “What? It’s okay… thank you, I’m okay” as I walk out of the field to find Kaya. Suddenly he grabs my wrist and pull me closer, the other hand grabs my waist and said, “Why are you refusing my offer dear? You want me to do more?” His face is so near to mine, I can smell his menthol-breath, and his hand slowly reaching my cheeks, erasing my tears. My heart is beating so fast, but I feel the anger inside me is going to explode. Why? 'Why are you refusing my offer dear? You want me to do more?' he said??!! Do you think we know each other?? Isn’t this consider as assaulting?! Without thinking further, I remove his hand and slap his face real hard. PAAKK There is this awkward 2 seconds of silence until Kaya shout in shock, “Yura what happened??” I look back and find Kaya and Hongsik with their jaw hanging. Suddenly, I hear Dohyun’s sarcastic laugh, I look back to him, and he said “What’s your name again? Yura? Nice slap” as he rubbed his red cheek. “You’re gonna regret this…” as he reached my chin and smile sarcastically. My feet are trembling, I couldn’t move an inch. What a perfect day to start my Christmas holiday.
