"This is what Mr. Justice Harrowbin said before sentencing you. 'You have been convicted of the very serious crime of perjury, and in my view rightly convicted. Your evidence in the case of Rex v. Justin was a tissue of falsehood from beginning to end. In the circumstances the least sentence this court can impose is twelve months 'with hard labour.'"
