THE MOON CHILD

Chapter 15 - The Unknown

We left the hotel to go back to my pack land. We needed to find the answers, which were troubling us. The lady gave me the diary that she took out of the locker behind the library desk, she said it had the intensive research she did after her mate died.

I was looking outside the window, I was curious to know everything and wanted to get this over with soon. 

" What are you thinking," I heard sam saying pulling me out of my thought process. 

" Nothing, I was just looking outside the window", I said almost in reflex.

" Hope, truth always the truth with me, I am your mate",  he said pausing for a minute and then said in a soft voice " please ".

" My dad, I was thinking about my dad, it feels like I don't know him at all," I said taking a deep breath.

" You were a child hope, don't punish yourself, the most important thing is beloved you and made sure that you knew about it," Sam said trying to make me feel better.

 " Yes you are right, I guess I should not think this much till I get all the information," I said trying to give out a smile.

By the time we reached my pack land, it was already night, it was going to take half an hour more reach our Backhouse, I wish I could just run to the house it would have been a lot faster.

My packhouse was different as compared to sams, unlike the classic architecture of his packhouse, ours was relatively modern,   

We had a huge basement parking which was connected to the ground floor via an elevator which opened directly into the central seating. the seating was connected to the kitchen, dining,  secondary seating as well as a library.

we parked our car in the parking and went to the central seating, where my mom was waiting for us.

" hope, my child I was so worried, why did you close your mind link,  or ignore your text, had it not been jasper, I would have died worrying,"  she said approaching me trying to hug me.

I hugged her back tightly and said: " We have a lot to talk on mother, I have a lot to tell you but not now, we all are very tired and we all need to rest a bit".

" of course sweetheart," she said smiling at me " you all freshen up, till then I will get the food served for all of you," she turned towards jasper and said, "  jasper could you show them the guest rooms ".

" mom, I will take sam to his room," I said taking sams hand in mine and guiding him towards the staircase.

I took Sam to the room next to mine and said: "I am not letting you be away from me," and kissed him making him smile.

After dinner, we all left for our rooms to take rest from the exhausting day.

lying on my bed my eyes were on the ceiling, my body was tired, it was a long day I wanted to rest it out, but my mind was not allowing me to. my thoughts were not letting me sleep, every time I wanted to sleep my thoughts took me to my dad.

I got up from my bed and went to the balcony, it was cold and wind flew right through my hair, I could feel the tiredness in my body. I wanted to sleep.

I turned around and went outside my room, surprisingly enough, sam's door was slightly open and I was glad because waking him up was the last thing I wanted.

I tiptoed my self into his room, his lights were off and I directly went to his bed, he was laying on the right side of the bed, with his right-hand open and stretched out, he was on his side and was holding a pillow to him.

I slowly got into his bed and tried to remove the pillow without disturbing him, after successfully removing the pillow I slid my self into his arms, feeling light and peaceful.

" what took you so long?" sam said pulling me to him and holding me tightly.

"I thought you were sleeping", I said a little bit surprised.

"I was waiting for you", he said placing a kiss on my forehead.

" then why didn't you come to my room," I said shifting in the bed in order to face him.

"because I was not sure if you wanted me there or not, but my heart said you will come," he smiled tightening his grip around me.

"I love you," he said following with a small but passionate kiss on my lips.

"I love you too ", I said placing my head on his chest feeling drowsy and sleepy.

I was not sure when I slept off but when I woke up sam was not next to me, I sat up in the bed and looked around to find sam.

The noise coming from the washroom gave me my answer, I threw my self back on the bed and left out a groan.

" that is not a very nice sound, but compared to the number of snores I got last night, I will anytime take this noise," sam said walking out of the bathroom, rubbing his wet hair with a towel.

" What ??" I sat up in a jerk," I don't snore okay don't lie," I said with my eyes wide open.

I could hear him chuckle and murmur something like " women ".

"I don't snore,"  this time I was louder and threw a pillow at him.

" of course you don't," he said smiling and came and sat on the edge of the bed and said again " now you, my princess get ready we need to inform your mother and my father about the details of our encounter in the able valley".

"you corrupt me so much sam, there is so much going around but I don't want to leave your side, to be honest, I just want to run away somewhere, I don't want to fight,  don't want to be the key, I hate the fact that I am the moon child and I hate the fact that I don't know my dad at all", I said with tears starting to dwell up in my eyes.

"I am always going to be by your side, now get up and get ready, there is a lot that needs to be done, and first things first, you need to know your father better, " he said and took a pause for few seconds and then said, " let's find all the answers together,".
