Chapter 14

Mason

It's been 2 days since the attack on Lukas and we cannot find his attacker any where. The sheriff had a word with Lukas and that's when I came to know who the attacker really was. 

Lukas

When the Sheriff asked me what happened, I decided to stop hiding and running in fear. I decided to tell him the truth, I really loved Mason and I wasn't going to let Zico come between us. "Zico was a guy I met 9 years ago, he was a good person at the start, we had become good friends, one day I told Zico that I was gay and had a crush on one of his friends Terry. I never understood what took over him but since that day he changed. He became over possessive and would not let me go anywhere alone. Even if I went to school he would follow me around wait outside the class for me and it started getting very annoying. I never had any feelings for him, he was always my friend and nothing more. Unfortunately that's not what he felt. He would get very violent if I even tried to speak to Terry. One day I decided to run away and went back to my parents place. Zico showed up there that night by sneaking into my window. He threatened me saying that if I did not do as he would say he would kill my family. I knew he was a psycho I saw his behaviour change every single day and that's when I freaked out, I nodded and he smiled. That night was the worse night, after that the beatings started and everything just got worse, till one I managed to run away and go to the cops. They put him in a rehab centre where he was given psychological treatment. I decided to leave before he was out again, hoping he would never find me. It's been 8 years since I saw him and ..." I felt breathless just thinking of him but this entire time my eyes never left Mason, I saw anger flash in his eyes, was it for me I wondered. "Okay, relax Lukas, we got whatever evidence we needed and we promise to hunt this guy down, we would like you to take extra care of yourself in the mean time and if he ever tries to connect with you again please call me" he said giving me his number. "Thank You Sheriff" Mason and I said in unison.

"f**k, s**t s**t" were the only words that left my mouth, why didn't Lukas ever tell me ... i thought to myself. "I'm sorry Mason" Lukas whispered softly with tears in his eyes. "You should have told me" I grumbled angry and furious with Lukas and myself. "I could have protected you, I could have been there for you if I knew" I said banging the metal table near the bed. I saw Lukas flinch at my action and realised what I did. I immediately walked up to him and hugged him "I'm sorry I'm so sorry Lukas, I am angry because I felt so helpless, I could have lost you forever" I said kissing the top of his head. "You have no idea how much you mean to me" and as I said those words I heard a soft sob escape Lukas's mouth. I lifted his chin with my 2 fingers while rubbing the tears that are now rolling down his cheek. I kissed both his eyes and his cheeks before hugging him once again."Mason I need to tell you everything" he said and I froze just thinking that there was more.

"Mason, Zico is mentally not stable, I found out a while ago that he had a trauma filled childhood. His dad would beat him up all the time, his dad was a drunk and without bring different women home every night. He would make Zico and his mom sit and watch him while he f****d different women. His mother died after a few months and the beatings got worst for Zico, till he ran away from home. After a few years he met me and we became good friends, I did not know anything about his past. Yeah I knew his mum passed away and I met a few cousins but that's all. When I told him I had a crush on Terry, he not only became over possessive but started behaving like his old man. After he found me at my parents house, he told me he would kill them if I did not listen to him and that night he forced me to take his c**k in my mouth, I was bleeding because of how roughly he f****d my mouth but he did not care. Once he was satisfied, he made me leave with him and then I was in hell. Every night he would make me f**k him or he would f**k my mouth like an animal. One day he was extra drunk and went off to sleep, I took that as my escape and ran to the police for help." Lukas said with tears flowing down his face. I was hugging him tightly. My blood boiled thinking of all the s**t he had to go through. "I'm going to kill that bastard" I said through gritted teeth. "He will pay for what he has done to you, I swear I am going to make him pay" I said and rubbed Lukas's back slowly trying to calm him down.
