Ryan was already fuming with anger, waiting for Rose. One thing was for sure she was certainly In Trouble
"it seems like whoever is coming is going to be seriously dwelt with"

shortly after, Rose came in all covered in blood, and she was directed to Ryan's office
she met Ryan on his chair, his stairs alone told her that she was in trouble
Ryan stood up and went close to where she was standing and their eyes met
before she could say anything he held her by the neck and pushed her to the wall
Edward was about to interfere but the fear of getting pinned to the wall alongside his new crush was not an option
"why were you late do you know how important this meeting was"
"I can explain"
Rose said as she was struggling to breathe
Ryan let go of her neck and pushed her to the ground "It better be convincing"
"the was an accident and a little girl was the victim, I had to take her to the hospital"
rose said still gasping for air
"so weren't there other passersby, no wonder your dad didn't hesitate to bet on you, you're nothing but a nonentity GET OUT OF MY OFFICE"
"Now I see why you're referred to as a monster"
rose replied and stormed out of the office
"What did you just say? what did she just say, what the f**k did she say?
I'm a monster"
Ryan said as he threw the file on the table away
"clam down man didn't you see that she was covered in blood, look at your hands, you were just carried away by your anger that you forgot to look at the details"

Edward said taking a few steps backwards
"I think I like her "
"don't you dare go close to my prize "
Ryan said with a more l
softer tone
"what do you mean by prize"
Edward asked looking perplexed
"I won a game at the casino and she was my prize"
Ryan said leaving the office
"WHAT?"
Edward shouted in surprise
Rose got to the mansion pretty late and tired all she could think of was what happened at the office, she didn't even realize when Betty walked up to her
"why are you coming home so late and why are you covered In blood"
Betty asked
"It's a long story "
rose said still thinking of the trouble that she's gonna face when Ryan gets home
"but you got to the office before an hour right "
"the meeting was already over before I got there"
"what oh my God, you must have had a rough time with the young master"

suddenly they heard the voice of a drunk old man throwing stones at the gate of the mansion
"That man is back he has been throwing stones and asking that his daughter be released ever since you left"
rose looked outside and saw her father
"dad"
rose said surprised
"he's your dad"
"yes". Rose said excitedly for the first time in her life she was happy to see him
"what's he doing here"
Mr Santiago continued to shout and throw stones at the gate, Ryan saw this from his window and ordered the men with him to deal with him
they went to Mr Santiago and pushed him away but he refused to leave, the men pushed him to the ground and started kicking him. Rose saw this and quickly ran to the door. but they wouldn't let her go outside
"Please let me go"
rose pleaded as tears rolled down her cheeks
the men still wouldn't let her go
she pleaded desperately until she saw Ryan coming downstairs from his room
she ran to him
"Ryan tell your men to let me go out"
Ryan was shocked because no one had ever called him by that name In that house not even Mrs Smith
"what are you going out to do"
"can't you see my father is out there your men are going to kill him"
"he came here on his own accord so if he dies so be it"
"What!, if anything happens to my father I swear I'll kill you"
rose said staring daringly at Ryan with her teary ocean-blue eyes"
"no one has ever dared to talk to me like that, do you wish to die with your father"
Ryan said as he moved closer to Rose, so close that he could feel her warm breath"
"Please, release him I'll talk to him and send him away"
Rose said as she fell on her knees to beg
"he sold you at the casino yes you're willing to plead on his behalf"
"he's still my dad no matter what"
"fine" Ryan gave the men at the door a signal. they went to meet the men outside and ordered them to stop beating Mr Santiago. Mr. Santiago was left there lying In a pool of blood
Rose ran to meet her father, she helped him up
"Rose come with me"
"Dad I can't, as soon as you're done paying whatever you sold me for then I'll leave with you"
"But Rose"
"Dad just go, leave"
"Rose I'm sorry I never should have placed a bet on you, it's all my fault "
Mr. Santiago wailed
"what's the point now, is too late. what's the point of crying just pay him whatever you owe, you coming here did me no good so go away "
rose said and ran back inside
Mr Santiago had no choice but to go back
Rose sat behind the door and cried her eyes out Ryan was watching her from a distance
"This is the reason why you should never love, all they do is break your heart"
Ryan said to himself and left
the next morning the whole mansion was woken up by an annoying voice
it was Flora Royal the only child of the royal group of companies the second best companies after the Lopez group
she had loved Ryan ever since she was a teen, even though her love was one-sided.
