They shine a bright hue of lavender, just as I remember them. “Silas, my beloved.” Rayven’s hand reaches to touch my face. “What is happening to my daughter?” Omri’s voice booms across the room startling me from my trace. I grab Rayven’s hand and help the vessel that my goddess has claimed stand to her feet. “I am Parvati, Hindu Goddess of all things love. I do not believe we’ve had the opportunity to officially meet. I’ve waited quite some time to finally awaken.” Omri didn’t care to hear all of that. He stepped closer forcing me to step between them. “Move criminal.” I wouldn’t dare take a step away. “I can’t do that, for the last 5 years, I’ve been your daughter’s guardian. Even longer than that, the guardian of Pavarti.” His eyes filled with anger. “And, how has that been working out for you Balam?” Omri’s voice was laced with hatred and malice. “That’s enough! I will not hear any more out of you two.” Pavarti’s presence grew stronger and heavier. She was making her authority known. Korryn walked to her husband’s side. “I do believe we can handle this in a more formal manner. Pavarti, if you’d be willing to enjoy lunch with us? I’d like to know more about your purpose with my child.” She spoke with elegance as usual, but there was an underlying force that my Goddess appreciated. She graciously accepted the invitation.
