Nari reluctantly did so because his first priority was always to keep me and my mother safe, but then the dire urgency of getting to the silver daughter before Verik was able to finish the blood bond was stronger. The hounds split into two groups and, while Nari took one team to follow the trail that Tamara said she had caught, Ced took the other group and led them to the grounds closest to the main house.
