Chapter 1

Pride County, Montana.

Such a small compact pocket-sized community, unseen, unnoticed, shelved off from the rest of Montana, known for its diverse terrain ranging from the Rocky Mountains to the Great Plains. Where the population ranges from 3 to 4,000 max each year and the overbearing sound of silence is almost nauseating. Clouds engulf the skies, choking out the tiny rays of sunshine peeking through the cumulonimbus layers that pull it back; the vegetation suffers as a result.

Streets, avenues and blocks apart, the town with the self-proclaimed "Iron-willed resolve for improvement" had firmly contradicted itself. Said towns solid yet shady condition proved to be the exact opposite. It was soiled. Unsanitary. Contaminated. Since it was founded in 1997, it developed a nasty reputation: growing to resemble hell breaking through the sidewalk, continuing up into the sky. Structures assembled from the pits of hell grew to blot out the sun and the people who had since inhabited the community had been choked by the pollution they created.

Not by their own wrongdoing, however.

Said structures were blankets, endless blankets of fire, debris, dust and engulfed, cooking in bright flames that gave the night sky above an orange, apocalyptic haze, like a war zone. One architectural structure sparked the biggest flames out of all: the Natural Selection organization.

"This is Charlotte Williams and we're coming to you live where Pride County is under attack by a demon. The Natural Selection organization advise the citizens to stay indoors, pray to god and be... Oh god." Charlotte said in worried as the camera turns off when she sees the silhouette of the demon.

The demon doesn't want the news to stop recording. So it's like Charlotte doesn't realize its Alex until he just senses them. He telepathically pulls her forward and she's scared out of her wits but he doesn't recognize this cause he has no control at the moment. Alex does eventually snap out of it and sees the tears streaming down her face. Releasing her gently, he pulls Brick and the camera toward him and just says "Keep filming. Eyes on me. I want the whole world to see this."

Before Brick does what the demon say, the military arrive and they tazed him. The Demon start attacking

Alex Williams is a senior at John Fitzgerald Kennedy High School, the only high school in town.

One morning, he woke up at 7:30 am in his bedroom to walk to the bathroom to take his medication pills. He took a deep breath before walked out.

Ken Williams is Alex's father and founder of the Natural Selection organization. He was locking a secret door when he sees his son walking out of the bathroom.

"Breakfast?" Ken asked politely as Alex smiles and nodded before walked to his room to get ready for school.

In the kitchen, Alex's taking a deep breath as Ken brings him some tea. He notice that Alex's stressing out. "You okay?" He asked in confused.

"Sorry, my grade from the final test." Alex said in nervous.

"Oh yeah, you did great on your final test. I hope you get an A or a B." Ken said while smile.

"Thanks, Dad. My girlfriend and I are having a weekend getaway." Alex said about this weekend.

"You and Emily?" Ken asked while smiling.

"Yeah, We're leaving tonight and we won't be back til Sunday." Alex answered.

"Perfect date." Ken smiled polietly. "Take one of my cars for your gateaway."

"Thanks, Dad." Alex said while smiling.

Ken hears the dog barking outside. "Hey! Get back next door!" He yelled at the dog before turning to Alex. "It's that stupid hound from next door. Be the death of us."

Alex arrives to school. He sees everyone got their grades. Some of them are glad that they got good grades, and some of them aren't. When he check for his and smiles that he got good grades. He goes to his locker and sees a picture of his beautiful girlfriend named Emily Pond.

He put on his headphones and listens to Last Ride of the Day by Nightwish as he walks to history class. 

Sometimes after class, Emily Pond, one of the popular girls in high school, walks out of class. She is an aspiring actress and Alex's beautiful girlfriend.

Before they dated, Emily has a huge crush on him. For weeks she had been flirting with Alex, but he was completely oblivious to her attempts even though the feelings were mutual.

Emily walks to her locker to put away her science book. She looks at the picture of Alex and kiss it. She really loves Alex so much. She walks to the locker room to get ready for cheerleading practice.

Before practice starts, Emily desperately needs to take a poop and decided to exit the locker room to go to the bathroom.

When Emily arrived to the girls bathroom, she sees the bathroom stalls full. She decided to use the boys bathroom.

Emily takes a paper towel from the dispenser and walks toward the stalls. She uses the tissue to push the first door open. She grimaces and heads to the second stall. Not much better. She continues to the third stall and pushes the door open. It's acceptable.

She enters the stall, places the paper towel on the bowl, pulls down her pants and sits down.

As Emily sits on the toilet, she sees graffiti scrawled on the stalls: "Amazing grace come sit on my face. Don't make me cry, I need your... pie"

She pulls out a pencil, scratches out "pie" and changes it to "smile".

Emily decided to do a little bit of graffiti on the stall door. She wrote: "Alex x Emily" and drew a heart around it. She chuckles to herself as she hears the sound of the bathroom door opening.

Alex walks to the mirror and takes a deep breath. Emily wanted to know if it's really is him. She grabs some toilet paper to wipe her butt before flushing the toilet.

Emily exits the stall and saw Alex. She walked right up to him and give him a chaste kiss, "Hey baby, are you alright?" she grinned.

"Yeah- yeah, I'm fine," Alex said shyly.

"What's wrong?" Emily asked in worry.

"I tried to buy the tickets to senior prom, they're sold out." Alex explain about Senior Prom.

"Baby, don't worry, I got the last two for you and me." Emily said while smiling. "All the jocks knows that I love you and they wanted you to be prom king."

"Okay, perfect." Alex said as he changes the subject. "Why are you here in the boys bathroom?"

Emily feels embarrassed and tells him. "The girls bathroom is full, I really had to go." She said while smiling. "I'm so sorry Alex, I was embarrased and I-"

Alex cut off Emily's ramblings by passionately kissing her, "Emily, it's okay, really, I understand and I'm not mad or embarrassed. Look at you, come here."

Alex gives Emily a big hug as she adores her boyfriend. "We're still on for tonight?" she asked.

"Yeah." Alex answers.

Emily smiles and give Alex a big kiss. She realise something. "Honey, I got something for you. Your dad called me this morning and told me that you're feeling stressed." She said while smiling.

Alex was confused and wanders how his father called his own girlfriend. She grab his hands and walk to her locker.

While they're arrived, Emily gets a few things. The first one is a pack of cigarettes. "The pack of cigarettes, in case you need to smoke to avoid stress." She said as she hand them to Alex.

Alex looks at the pack of cigarettes and takes a deep breath. Emily has the second item and smiles at him. She holds up her red underwear and laughs.

"Oh boy." Alex said while laughing.

"Duh. I got it for our getaway." Emily said while smiling as she hands it to Alex. "You know that you are a very bad boy. I have a plan for tonight."

"What is it?" Alex asked in confused. Emily smiles and decided to tell him.

"Tonight, when we arrived to our secret place, let's cuddle up in our bed in our underwear and we can watch a movie." Emily said and explain the plan.

"Perfect." Alex said as Emily smiles and kiss Alex.
