CHAPTER 16
Tentatively, the knock came again. I wondered who it was this time. I hoped it wasn't Alastair coming to start a fight with Kane. I considered telling whoever it was to go away. I had barely managed to calm the situation between Kane and Alastair. Kane or my pack could snap with any more provocation.
"Come in," I called.
An Omega girl entered the room, carrying a large tray of food.
"Alpha Eleanor, Alpha-" she hesitated. Not knowing Kane's name, she continued. "I was told to bring food for you."
I nodded in the direction of the table. She dropped the food there and arranged the plates on the table.
Absentmindedly, I went to my window looking at the activity below lost in thought. With a sigh, I turned away from the window and back to my room. With a start, I realized that
