CHAPTER 15 Something- probably the picture that hung there on the wall- was digging into the small of my back and it hurt a little. I shifted a little and saw Kane's eyes darken perceptibly in anger. I could not remember doing anything that would make him look so angry. His arms were braced on the wall on either side of me. Suddenly exasperated with him, I moved sideways trying to escape the prison of arms and to put some distance between us. In response, he leaned in closer. I could feel his legs pressed against mine.
