Waiting Eyes
WAITING EYES Episode 1 — The First Glance Aanya had stopped believing in love. Every evening, she sat near the same window, watching the world pass by. One rainy evening, she noticed a boy standing across the street. His name was Aarav. He wasn't using his phone or talking to anyone. He was simply looking at her. Their eyes met for a few seconds. Aanya looked away, but when she looked back, Aarav was still there. For the first time in years, her eyes were waiting for someone. Episode 2 — The Stranger The next evening, Aanya returned to the window. She didn't know why she was expecting him. Aarav appeared again. This time, he smiled. Aanya smiled back before she could stop herself. Neither of them spoke. Their eyes became their only conversation. Every evening, Aarav stood across the street, and Aanya waited by the window. One rainy evening, Aarav didn't come. Aanya kept looking outside, hoping to see him. That was when she realized how much she had started waiting for those eyes. Episode 3 — The Note The next day, Aarav finally crossed the street. Aanya's heart raced. He stopped near her window and held out a small note. “Some people enter our lives without saying a word, but somehow their silence becomes important.” Aanya looked at him and smiled. “You could have just said hello,” she said. Aarav laughed softly. “I was afraid you wouldn't want me to.” Aanya looked into his eyes. “I was waiting for you to.” For the first time, their eyes weren't speaking from a distance. Episode 4 — Almost Love Days turned into weeks. Aanya and Aarav began talking every evening. They shared their dreams, fears, memories, and little secrets. Aanya slowly began trusting him. One evening, Aarav looked unusually quiet. “Why are you looking at me like that?” Aanya asked. “Because sometimes, the people we finally find are the ones we're most afraid of losing.” Aanya smiled. “You're not losing me.” Aarav looked into her eyes. “Promise?” She nodded. Neither of them knew that their promise would soon be tested. Episode 5 — The Long Wait The next morning, Aarav disappeared. No message. No explanation. Aanya waited by the window every evening. One day passed, then another. Days became weeks. She kept telling herself that he would return. Then, one rainy evening, she saw someone standing across the street. Her breath stopped. It was Aarav. But this time, there was sadness in his eyes. Aanya ran toward him. “Why did you leave?” she asked. Aarav looked at her and whispered, “Because I was scared to tell you the truth.” Episode 6 — The Eyes That Stayed Aarav finally told her that he had been afraid of hurting her. His silence had never meant that he didn't care—it meant he cared too much. Aanya listened quietly. “You made me wait,” she said. “I know.” “And you still came back.” Aarav smiled. “I promised your eyes I'd come back.” Aanya smiled through her tears. For so long, she had waited for someone who would choose to stay. Now, standing before her was the boy whose eyes had first caught hers on a rainy evening. Their story had begun with waiting eyes—and finally, they had found each other.
