I decided to drive to the mall to meet Ruby even though it would have been quicker to shift and run, I would have had to carry my clothes in a backpack, and it was still a bit of a walk from the edge of the forest to the mall. Plus, if Ruby wanted a ride home when we were done shopping, I couldn't do that without my car.
I pulled into the parking lot and immediately spotted Ruby standing by the entrance.
I jumped out of the car and rushed towards her. The moment she spotted, she folded her arms angrily across her chest and started tapping her foot impatiently.
" How dare you keep me waiting this long, Jacob Adams!" She hissed at me as I got closer to her.
" Babe, I said I was sorry. Something came up at home, and I couldn't leave until it was sorted."
