As Jack drives the car towards the party, I can't help but start to worry that I have made a huge mistake. Apart from Jack and Jacob, I don't know anyone. Well, no one likes me anyway, and I am not even sure that Jacob likes me or if he is just being civil to me for the sake of Jack.
As the car starts to slow down, I can hear loud music playing outside the car even with the windows closed, and I know we must have arrived.
I try to breathe and steady my heart, which has sped up so fast it feels like it might actually burst out of my chest.
