The Lost Luna

CHAPTER ONE I woke up one morning getting prepared to visit my Aunt who lived 12 hours away from my family house. My brothers, James and Michael were waiting for me in the car. I grabbed the dress I saw first and wore it as fast as I could, luckily I had already packed all my clothes in my traveling box a day before. It was only going to be a week that we will stay there so we didn’t need to carry all our clothes. I was in a hurry because my brothers were already getting impatient that I was wasting a lot of time getting ready. I ran down the stairs when I reached the car, my brother’s bodyguard opened the car door for me I sat down at the back seat between my immediate elder brother and my eldest brother’s bodyguard. My immediate elder brother ‘Lucas’ looked at me and laughed. Brianna, Why is your hair so rough”, Lucas asked me as he laughed. I looked at the front mirror of the car and realized that I had forgotten to brush my hair. Luckily I brought my hand bag with my hair brush in it. We finally reached my Aunt’s house, her house was in the middle of a fenced garden which had red roses and many other flowers. It was beautiful. My Aunt loved flowers so I understand why they were all around her house and why she takes good care of them, she came outside of her house and opened the gate for us to drive into her compound. I was stilled surprised that my Aunt never hired a security guard to protect her or help her with the gate unlike my parents who kept security guards all around our house/palace 24/7, they had a lot of enemies so they didn’t want to risk anything happening to me because I was the only daughter of parents. My brothers were also over protective of me, I couldn’t even step out of the house without letting them know and even if I begged them to let me go out or see my friends, they never allowed me. My friends got tired of coming to see me because they couldn’t go out with me since I wasn’t allowed out of the house so they stopped visiting me. My brothers kept telling me stories of how they fought many wars to protect their families when they were younger, they also told me about the death of one of our brothers who was captured in war by one of our family enemies when I was just born. They were scared that I would end up like my dead brother ‘Austin’. Mary ‘my aunts daughter’ saw me and ran to hug me, telling me that she missed me since the last time she came to visit me. I hugged her as she wrapped her legs around my waist and I spin her around in circles while she laughed with joy. I was happy to see my little cousin again. We were like best friends except I was much older than her with 12 years. Her mother hugged me and my brothers and let us into her house. Mary dragged me inside the house and showed me her new teddy bear that her mother bought for her, she kept on telling me stories of all the cartoon she had been watching and all the amusement parks she had been going to, I sat on the dinning table listening to her as she kept talking. I was tired of not having freedom. At least I will have some freedom in my Aunts house,” I thought. It’s just that my brother brought his bodyguards to make sure I was protected. What exactly was he protecting me from? We were to stay at my Aunty’s house for a week. My Aunt was nice and caring and she did not seem to need any security, she refused to accept any security from my parents and she lived peacefully with her beautiful 10 years old daughter and her husband in a six bedroom flat. Her Husband ‘Mr Kelvin’ was a kind, gentle man, he gave me a gold bracelet and a wristwatch, the moment he saw me. “I planned to give you this the last time we visited you and your family but I forgot it at home,” Mr Kelvin told me as he gave me the gift. Thank you very much Mr Kelvin,” I said as I hugged him. My Aunt ‘Mrs Elizabeth’ welcomed us with my favorite food ‘Fried rice and chicken and roasted corn’. I was so happy, I emptied the plate of food. My brothers were having some discussions with our aunt after we finished our dinner but I wasn’t paying attention because I was too busy watching tv on some interesting show that I liked. I heard something about someone was getting married but I wasn’t really interested in who was going to get married. We then went to the backyard to bring some of her ripest crop produce for her to use and cook for the next day. I went to bed early because I was tired but I felt someone kiss me on my lips so I woke up,it was already midnight, how long had I slept, “I wondered” and my window was opened but I still felt like someone was watching me even when I didn’t see anyone around, I realized then that my window was opened, “Did someone enter my room through the window and kiss me” I thought. I must have been crazy to think someone entered my room and kissed me, I was so scared, so I locked my window and went back to sleep. The remaining days of the week, my aunt took us for outing and we spent our time enjoying ourselves in so many parks, train stations and shopping malls in which my aunt bought so many beautiful dresses and jewelries for me. I still wondered who the stranger that entered my room was because he kept coming every night until I had to find a way to put an end to it without my brothers finding out someone was stalking me. If my brother found out I would probably never be allowed out of my parents house again and I would not be able to have this privilege of going out and having fun. So I decided to lock my windows everytime to prevent this stalker from having access to me. One week later ………………………… My brother knocked on my door telling me to wake up and get ready because we were supposed to be going back home early this morning, it had been a week since we came to visit my aunt and our visit was over, so I went to bathe and brush my teeth. I carried my luggages and packed all the clothes I brought for the visit into my traveling box. The week had been a bit scary for me, I don’t know if I was imagining things or if it was really happening because I felt like someone was watching me every night during the week, it felt like someone was kissing me and while it happened I couldn’t open my eyes, it was like someone was drugging me, each time I managed to overcome the drug sprayed on me and open my eyes but I still didn’t see anyone. Whoever it was, the person was fast at escaping before I found him. I always managed to crawl to my window and lock it even when I was under the influence of some type of drug that the stranger always sprayed on me to make me unconscious. I couldn’t tell if it was my imagination or real because I always woke up feeling like it was all a dream. I had experienced this stranger kissing me 3 times, three nights in a roll and the third time, I struggled and managed to open my eyes, I saw his eyes, it was red but I couldn’t see his face because it was dark, his breathing was so loud and heavy, he was on top of me, his eyes was beautiful and I got lost in it for what seemed to be a minute but then I became scared and I attempted to scream but I couldn’t, he must have drugged me, I couldn’t move either, “Was he trying to kidnap me”, I was afraid but thankfully my brother who always senses when I’m in danger opened the door to check if I was alright and the stranger jumped through the window and ran before my brother could open the door. My brother looked around my room, he didn’t see anyone other than me so he left. It took me 30 minutes to regain consciousness fully, when I could move finally, I crawled to close my window and locked it with the little strength I had left in me, the drug was too strong and it had made me weak. I had to tell my brother what has been happening but I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming or not and if I tell him what happened, he may become more over protective of me and won’t allow me to leave my parents house ever again and I won’t be able to leave my room again. My Aunt always visited us but this was the first time I visited her since I was a baby and I loved the view of her bungalow house. Although my parent’s house was 10 times bigger than her house. I loved how peaceful and calm it seemed, there seemed to be a bit of freedom in her house, unlike when I’m at home with security everywhere that would not allow me go outside the palace. In my aunt house, I could go anywhere without anyone following me around, although I knew that my brothers bodyguard must always watch me from afar for my safety. I was glad my eldest brother ‘James’ was giving me a little bit of freedom in my aunt house. James ‘my eldest brother’ had allowed me to visit my aunt for the first time since I was a child but now I may not be allowed to go anywhere with him if he finds out that the first three days of this week, a stranger had been stalking me. The remaining days of the week, I made sure I locked my windows, all though I loved this stranger eyes, it captivated me and I got lost in his eyes, I still didn’t know what this stranger looked like because I couldn’t see his face in the dark. Although I was scared, I still fell in love with this stranger, I fell in love with his eyes. I knew that all my brothers loved me and did not want me to be kidnapped or killed, they wanted to protect me and keep me safe so I don’t really blame them for never allowing me to leave the palace alone because they wanted to keep me safe. I finally finished packing and I went to the car where my brothers were all waiting for me. I said goodbye to my aunt and her husband and their daughter who I had a lot of fun with. I sat with my immediate elder brother and my eldest brother at the backseat of the car while my brothers bodyguard who my brother had assigned to protect me drove us home. We journeyed quietly to our home. When we reached, it was night and dark outside, the only light we had was the moon light and our house light and maybe the car light. James wife ‘Anna’ ran outside the palace and hugged her husband. Sweetheart, how was your journey, hope you brought something for me,”she said smiling as she kissed him My love, I brought many things for you, I can’t wait to show you. While I was there, my aunt gave us a lot of fruits and vegetables to take home even though we have many fruits and vegetables here at home and I also bought some bags and shoes and jewelries for you,” James said while kissing her. Anna screamed with joy while trying to search the packaging bag James was holding in his hands. Calm down babe, let’s get inside first then you can check all the things that I bought for you. I love you honey, Anna said kissing her husband again and again then helping him pack his luggage into the palace. My brother’s body guard helped me with my luggage. My parents were happy to see us back home. Kate ran downstairs to hug her husband ‘Michael’ which is my second elder brother Honey, I am so happy to see you, Kate said as she kissed her husband again, how was your journey my love, It was wonderful. I enjoyed my stay in aunt’s house, she made us delicious food everyday and made us climb trees to plug fruits, Michael said smiling Hope you are ok, I have never seen you climb a tree before,” Kate said looking worried. I’m fine babe, nothing happened to me, you know that I am very strong, you don’t need to worry about me, I’ve fought many wars before so climbing a tree is actually nothing to me. And I almost forgot we went for a train ride for the first time while we were there. Aunt made sure she took us out to have fun. Oh wow, you have to gist me on everything that happened,” Kate said, and what are you holding, she asks Oh, it’s just some items I bought for you, I saw so many beautiful things there that I knew that you would love so I bought them for you, Michael said while kissing his wife as she smiled. Thank you my love,” Kate said as she hugged her husband. Lucas wife ‘Lily’ ran to hug him, but he did not seem happy to hug her back instead he was looking at his lover who he would have married, if our parents didn’t force him to marry Lily because she was from a rich wealthy business oriented family. His lover and mate “Eden” who was a homeless girl which my parents took care of since she had no father or mother, stood at the staircase and watched them hug with a sad expression on her face. I wanted her to marry my brother ‘Lucas’ but my parents did not allow it, now they are looking for a way to get rid of her so that she won’t cause any trouble for the new couple. I had begged my parents to let her stay because she had no where to go since she lost both her parents in a war. My parents agreed so I was happy that she would stay with us in the palace. I tried to make her happy so she wouldn’t feel lonely but I could see that she was very sad. She also said that she doesn’t think she would ever love someone else or even marry because she only loved Lucas, she would forever love only him.
